Weird, now LOOT says "TES5Edit v4.0.1 found 2 ITM records. Due to Improvements made to the cleaning process with the official release of xEdit 4.0.x+, any mods which were verified as clean with older versions of xEdit may now require additional cleaning."
Oh no, not compatible with the regrown mod? Hmm, will download anyway as this is too lovely to pass up but hope this can be helped one day. Thank you for the lovely mod.
Actually just checked with another user - they're compatible, but the new stages added by Arthmoor's mod will not have falling petals. Perhaps at a later time I'll request permissions to make a patch.
Very nice little touch! Glad to hear it's compatible with Arthmoor's mod. I have to ask though, would it be possible to tie it to a season, perhaps? I'm not suggesting it, just curious.
so to avoid confusion, how Exactly does this work w/ Regrown mod? it works w/ vanilla tree, then does not work on the small sapplings, but then works again on the full grown tree? if so, than that's actually the way i'd prefer it. not to work on the sapling stage
Darn it. I was excited when I saw this mod, but then I read it isn't compatible with Gildergreen Regrown. Such an essential mod, both! I hope there will be a compatibility patch so both mods work together. Or someone will take up the gauntlet, so to speak. Will keep this tracked, though, just in case a patch comes along...
A small but very elegant mod, thank you! I'm playing on SSE and as far as I can tell this mod functions just fine. Question- any way to offer an optional file that perhaps increases the effect / more petals? It doesn't have to be a super dramatic increase/blizzard of petals or anything haha but just a bit more would be really cool! But I understand if that might not be possible for performance reasons or something. Or alternatively, could the current level of petals drift a bit longer towards the ground? At the moment the effect sort of fades out just past the lower branch level and unless I specifically make my character stand still and stare straight upwards, its a bit hard to notice the petals since they fade out so soon after falling. Anyways, lovely mod, endorsed. :)
Ah thank you! Didn't notice that the first time around, I will check it out now! and I just realized there is now a link for the SSE version of this mod. I had downloaded this literally the day it was uploaded so I must've forgotten to check for any SSE versions haha sorry about any confusion
Funny, this is the second comment I've read along these lines. It seems people don't understand what's actually happening. The petals are from the blossoms on the tree-- not its leaves. Blossoms have a limited life; they bloom (usually in the spring), then fall off. Leaves, on the other hand, grow and then stay until Autumn. Blossom petals falling doesn't mean the tree is dying! It's just part of the reproductive cycle of the tree. (Blossoms that are pollinated will lose their petals and grow into fruit.)
Apparently, this type of tree has blossoms that grow (and then fall) year-round. Kind of like the biblical Tree of Life.
It looks like this may not be compatible with Gildergreen Regrown, after all. (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12254)
It's working great on the Eldergleam, but on the regrown Gildergreen this mod has no effect. (The Gildergreen in my game is fully grown, verified via console command "sqv ARTHGildergreenRegrown" to be at stage 10, it's final stage.)
This is too bad, since the mod itself adds a beautiful effect but I can't see it in my everyday visits to Whiterun Hoping to eventually get a patch for this!
The "Petals Fall Down" mod doesn't have an .esp, it's just a mesh replacement, and it was made by another modder. So there's no real reason to make it part of this mod. This way both modders get credit for their work. At least, that's the way I'm looking at it.

Tracked! And as i‘ll play I’ll come back and endorse this for sure!
