Bard Career in this Mod (Playable Instruments - Play and Bash by wgstein)

Bard ---
Intelligent and personable, Bards prefer to accomplish tasks with their words first, and sword second. Bards are travelling storytellers, singers, dancers and all around performers. Bards are able to perform many tasks, including but not limited to weapons skills, picking locks and pockets, and magic. Extremely versatile, Bards typically carry a wide variety of weapons, and are capable of using all types of armor and shields. Bards are also extremely adept at delivering blows that render the highest level of damage to their opponents.

Introduction

First of all, you can live as professional pure-cultured bard in Skyrim, however, you cannot fulfill the role of Dovahkiin as professional pure-cultured bard. You need other combative skill for fighting.
As quoted above, bards are clever and dexterous people, but their songs were nothing more than enjoyment of citizens at least according to common understandings. This mod excavates the lost art of illusional songs for skilled bards only. These arts might be effective for some people, but might not be sufficient, because illusion magic affects only living people and creatures, while rather a large part of warfield for adventurer will be the land of death - underground. Therefore you must be clever and dexterous, and must have some other skills that helps you survive, if you are a bard.
Anyway there are several unique and useful aspect in the arts of bard songs. Following section illustrates each stage of speechcraft skill and clarifies some details.

Speech level 1-19

You are just a common citizen, having no advantage of musical skills on other citizens. You should get instruments, earn money (mainly from woodchopping labor, for example, than playing music), and develop your speech skill by spending money and using instruments. The quickest way to create instruments is that you get to Whiterun and chop some woods, then sell them to Hulda in Bannered Mare. You can pick normal lute and drum in upstairs of kitchen legally. Need flute? Ah, that requires some break-in or exploring a dungeon. Flute is placed in the House of Battleborn, Halted Stream camp, or Liar's Retreat. Anise's cabin is also available if you are near Riverwood. Of course you will find every instruments in Bard's College in Solitude, if you can get there.
If you play your instruments, their sound reaches people in 1300 units distance, omnidirectionally. 1300 units are roughly equivalent to the length of dining deck in Dragon's Reach.

Speech level 20-39
Number of audiences is slightly increasing. Consider travel to Solitude and play before more people.

Speech level 40-59
Now people listen to you carefully in silence(BGM). Rate of your tips is accommodate to rich people in major cities. Your business time has come.

Speech level 60-69
You can try offensive songs to enemies. However, it is not necessarily effective for leveling up. The most useful aspect of songs is that you can affect enemies you cannot see. You can 'cast' these spells even not knowing where the enemies are. You can maximize the benefit of preemptive attack with hide-and-sing progress. Your song reaches within 1300 units in CK - it is roughly equivalent to the length of dining deck in Dragon's Reach.
Available magic effects in this level are:
- Flute to enemy - creatures and people up to level 9 won't fight for 120 sec.
- Flute to team - restores health and stamina 200 pts immediately.
- Lute to enemy - creatures and people up to level 9 will attack anyone nearby for 120 sec.
- Lute to team - fortify combat skills (as CallToArms) 10 pts for 120 sec.
- Drum to enemy - creatures and people up to level 9 will flee from combat for 120 sec.
- Drum to team - improves teammates' armor 60 pts for 120 sec.
You must not be detected for them to take effect on enemies.
Your song works upon teammates who are listening to you, and enemies who do not detect you.
Perks of teammates might work.
Do not forget developing other combative skills especially against undead. Be noted again --- bard's songs are one of illusion school art. Illusion magic cannot affect undead unless you have master rank perk.

Speech level 70-79
Now you are one of the best skilled bard in Skyrim. You can change mood(BGM) everywhere. Dig your dungeon with joy. At this level most people cannot afford paying for your performance.

Speech level 80-
Your songs become more powerful. Available magic effects in this level are:
- Flute to enemy - creatures and people up to level 15 won't fight for 180 sec.
- Flute to team - restores health and stamina 500 pts immediately.
- Lute to enemy - creatures and people up to level 15 will attack anyone nearby for 180 sec.
- Lute to team - fortify combat skills (as CallToArms) 20 pts for 180 sec.
- Drum to enemy - creatures and people up to level 15 will flee from combat for 180 sec.
- Drum to team - improves teammates' armor 80 pts for 180 sec.
All appear with small explosion of each effect. Be careful if you don't like cluttered room.
