could be. i think the title & description are meant as a joke (and a good one at that). but, some people look for s#*! to cry about. i can't play skrim without this mod. so, i'm about to check if i can use it in SSE. try not to get caught up in the hate train, & happy modding. =]
I know this is old, but, I thought I'd let you know, Happy, your not the only female who loves Navetsea's creations! <3 Nope. I've been a fan of Navetsea for an extremely long time. I have tons of Navetsea's custom skins and custom characters from tons of different games. If it has his name on it, I'll dl it with out having to look it over. That's how good his stuff is. His female skins are natural looking and stunning. I feel pretty when wearing his skin (doesn't that sound creepy? LoL) And the males skins are just as amazing.
Thank you! Lydia looks SO MUCH better now! It is obviously personal preference, but I really don't like the volume of cosmetics on the female housecarls. I'm very glad I stumbled across this mods; now I don't have to worry about it.
Nice retexture, but I don't like the term "wh*%#" so much- it's too harsh on women and never used for men, when they are the real whores most of the time. Natural is a better way to describe this mod.
A political activist is in the house. Now watch as they turn their Lydia into a red-light NPC unknowingly anyway, since mods are made by guys for guys 99% of the time.
Anyway, when you see the difference this mod does to makeup, you will agree with the choice of words describing what it does. I can't play the game without this texture mod.
I'm not sure if you've noticed the way Lydia walks, but I'm pretty sure she contracted something... And men are frequently referred to as being whorish, particularly if they've been, well, whorish. And let's face it, men and women, at least in the major cities in the U.S., wear caked on makeup and prostitute. I don't think there's a gender bias going on here. If Calder was wearing a lot of makeup and walking funny, I'm sure his facetint would have been covered by this mod as well. (And I suspect that Calder is a little bit whory. The sideburns, something about those sideburns... I think he's probably a little promiscuous.)
Agreed, it does remove the makeup. Where are all these women getting the makeup in Skyrim anyway? They can't even keep themselves clean but they've got dark red lipstick?! Ugh.
Yes, the whory aspect of women in video games, and especially the skimpy "armor" is everything that is wrong with the modding community. It's not surprising more women don't play, considering.........and I'm not a political activist by any means. Just a woman that speaks the truth.
Anyone know if this mod works with the Enhanced Blood Textures mod? Lydia never has blood on her face after long battles. The rest of her body is covered.
You can also replace the EBT textures with the textures from Crimson Tide and still use the EBT plugin. I don't know if that will help with the Lydia issue, but your game will start to resemble the Lone Wolf and Cub series. :-)
