Thank you all for the endorsements and continued support, really appreciated. I'd also like to say that I'm blown away by many of the images you guys are uploading either to the user images section or to the site, truly astonishing work!
As far as compatibility is concerned, you might have to make some adjustments if you are using mesh replacers. Note this does not affect helmets. But, it's really easy to solve, here are some directions:

Download nifskope from: link Open the meshes included in this mod and your replacer side by side. Expand the tree as needed and locate the "BSLightingShaderProperty" node. Ensure the following lines match: > Skyrim Shader Type (should be enviroment mapping) > Shader Flags 1 (enviroment mapping flag should be enabled) > Glossiness should be between 40 and 60 > Specular Strength should be 1.0 > Enviroment map scale should be 1.0 Then expand it's children node "BSShaderTextureSet" and make sure all the paths match. Be careful with the slot the paths go.
Copy and paste. Or use a mod manager, or read the very simple instructions included in the download in a file called "_Manual Install Instructions.txt". It's really a dead simple asset replacer. There is no "not working".
It's not mandatory in that they will work as is but to get the look I intended yeah, you'd have to adjust the settings on any nif that conflicts. If you go to the Files section and then "Preview file contents" on the Main file then you can see all the meshes that I considered benefited from some adjustments (.nif files).
Great mod, been enjoying playing with dawnguard armor and especially yours very much. Id just like to ask, would there be any possibility, to make the leather pants segment in black leather, rather then as it is now (brown)? My character uses lots of black mashed up pieces, so that brown stands out really much, which is why i would like to have black variant for pants too (to have same color, as torso black leather). I know that im probably the only person requesting this, and changing color might be difficult (never modded anything in, so i have no clue), but i would be glad if you considered and replied. (Im talking about the grey version light armor version of dawnguard armor, did not check others, but i believe all of them contain brown leather pants as a part of set)
Thanks creator for a great mod, and Bethesda, for a great game.
I don't mean to sound greedy, but have you considered adding a "patch" for Madcat's Dawnguard Arsenal https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72910 It's a really good mod and I think both you work will benefit greatly from working together.
how many assets would require retexture, i.e. those that don't use vanilla textures? the sword, dagger, etc only? Asuming madcat's is fine with it and it isn't too much stuff, I wouldnt mind.
There are 15 files in the bsa file that require retexturing.4 diffuse maps for both normal and elite versions of the weapons,4 normal maps and 4 environment maps.3 remaining files are for the scabbard.
Well, that is exacly what I was looking for when I saw this new cool armor retexture. It would be nice if Madcat allows you to make the swords textures. Keep it up with this nice work you are doing, FrankFamily, it is astonishing.
just find the corresponding texture files in the skyrim data folder and delete them...it should work fine. .ive not done this for this mod since its all so HQ and nice but i've done it before for other mods like skyrim flora overhaul etc when I didnt like some of the retextured plants

-Install this mod first
-Install the weapon mod you want and replace all the files

edit: nevermind this problem is in the special edition

I am kinda new to modding in general. Is it possible to use your redesigned weapons only?
