How to eliminate the gear sound in the bell tower room? It's too annoying

Wonderful job. Really amazing work. Thank you both. ChefJ and BellaDovah make an amazing team with this comprehensive rewrite of Dragon Bridge. It's absolutely amazing. It feels like The Great Cities Series (even though I use this instead of the Great City of Dragon Bridge) "moves" a few things around in this mod for some reason. I do not know why at all. lol. But it does. It doesn't seem to cause any CTDs or problems however.

Thank you That's really nice to hear! ClefJ did some really amazing work so I thought it deserved to be perfected as much as possible in attempts to make it the best Dragon Bridge overhaul of the many available. I used to use JK's before ClefJ's and I liked that JK's had a blacksmith, so that's why I added one!

Really love this mod. I downloaded, works perfectly, but after installing, I run into a massive game-annihilating bug where all my animations are glitched and my character is walking around and moving all over the place while standing still. I ran FNIS for Users to see if it would fix it, but to no avail. I refreshed animations in the PCEA2 MCM menu. and that didn't work either. So I then disabled all animation packs in the PCEA2 menu, and viola, there were no bugs. So I uninstalled this mod, and now all my animations work fine.

Therefore, I can only conclude that you are using a skeleton of some type that conflicts with Maximum Skeleton Extended or PCEA2, or I have done something wrong. But this is a young enhcancement, so I am not angry or anything. It hasn't had enough time to be widely tested. So I will test the crap out of it. I have 10,000 dollars worth of high performance gaming laptops with Skyrim installed on all three of them that I use to test mods. I'm an IT tech with a certificate in Information Technology and I am also a software engineer. So I'm used to errors. lol. If there is any information I can give you that might indicate it was a problem on my end, let me know, and I will supply it. I want this mod to work. You and ChefJ are an AWESOME TEAM, and you both together make great things happen. I use other mods of ChefJ, and I love them, and this one with both your work combined, is the best Skyrim settlement expansion ever because of the level of improvement and lore-friendliness put into it. So, please, help me with this. Because this mod is just incredible. I don't care if it's small compared to JK;s Markarth and Sky City Markarth together; it's just a massive improvement.

I'm glad to hear you like this but I'm very sorry to hear about your bug. I'm definitely not using any Skeletons...you can check the files in the mod. There are body meshes from Skysight Skins and CBBE but I also use Maximum Skeleton Extended and various animation mods alongside them so I can assure no incompatibilities. I really have no idea how this mod could possibly cause that, but if you do some further testing please let me know the outcome

Yeah, I'm sorry, I should have seen it wasn't your mod. I have tested further and I have found that way too much is going on for it to be your mod that caused this issue. Recently, while testing your mod, an error occured with one of my Visual C++ packages. Possibly the 2015 Redistrubutables or earlier. The error caused Skyrim to exit and now I am convinced there is something else going on here. I don't know if you can help with it, but I'm going to say what happened now. Now ALL my Skyrim saves load with a black screen and noises in the background. FNIS detects no warnings. TESVEdit detects no problems. Do you think this is possibly a problem with my Asus' graphics drivers or something? Either way, I have just gotten back online again today to see your messages. Fallout 4 won't run properly either anymore. So, I'm going to uninstall ALL of my Redistributables and reinstall them one-by-one. I really hope though, that I can get it working and run your mod again.

Just after this massive crash, when I got a save to load, that's when all my animations started trying to play at once, archery animations, fighting, walking--all while my character was standing still. The more I load the saves, the less they are able to load, so that's a bad idea. But this is one crazy glitch.

Fyi: I use Windows 8.1 on an ASUS with Radeon HD Graphics with a processor as such: AMD A10-5750M, and 16 GBs of RAM.

It's alright, we're bound to associate new mods with sudden issues! I'm really sorry you're having such bad problems, I know how devastating it is when it crashes when you've put so much time into modding. Have you tried loading without any mods? I can't say I've ever experienced this so I'm not sure how much help I can be, but it definitely sounds like its to do with some sort of driver if Fallout is having the same issues. Re-install your microsoft software like the redistributables like you said, and also check for any driver updates for your processor or graphics card, and even windows updates. I find copying the d3d9, d3d10, d3d11, D3D12 and the dxgi .dll files from C>Windows>System32 into my Skyrim folder (before Data folder) can help with graphic card issues. Also, try running LOOT to sort your load order but I really doubt its a problem with that, sounds like an issue on your PC somewhere else. Best of luck fixing it!

Wow I had this same exact problem with this SAME mod, and it happened AT Dragon Bridge too. I reinstalled BellaDovah's Dragon Bridge Fixed and Enhanced and it did nothing. I downloaded SSME and it's sister mods for animations and that worked. The reason one might experience this problem is not this mod. It's because our animations were a little unstable and there is a lot going on in this new Dragon Bridge, so if you download any mod that alters a cell heavily and go to that cell, it might just reveal underlying issues with animations because it will put your system's health and mod installation to the test, as with any large scale mod. I test mods too, and I've tested this Dragon Bridge alone on 4 PCs with beautiful mining specs, and oh boy, it works in all PCs with a huge variation of over 200 mods installed.

Thanks so much for making these changes. The Solstheim objects were mainly what kept me from using the original, even though everything else looked so lovely. And the use of iron bars keeps me from using a lot of other overhauls. My Dragon Bridge has remained unmodded and bland for so long, but you've solved that for me. Thanks again.

Very nice! I had to choose JK's Dragon Bridge even if i also like ClefJ's one since several things don't look suitable, but now that you've made this i'll switch to this instead :)

Btw do you take request? I have a mod in mind which looks really good, but unfortunately it's coupled with bugs and issues while the author is nowhere active anymore. This is the mod:

Thank you so much! That's so lovely to hear I love JK's mods but there was just something about the architecture added by ClefJ that just made me have to fix it up so I could use this instead.
I'm flattered that you'd make a request actually. To be honest, the main reason I make or edit a mod is because I want to use them for myself. I have to say I'm happy with using both JK's and TAVE Windhelm simultaneously at the moment so fixing up that mod wouldn't really be a benefit to me, plus I've just started a new semester at University so I won't have much time for stuff like that now. However, if you're interested in having a go at fixing that mod up yourself (its not that difficult) I'd be happy to give you some advice if you send me a message. Best of luck

I've never heard of ClefJ's Dragon Bridge, but since I see how much you enjoyed this mod and how enthusiastic you are about it and how much work you've put into your fixes, I will download ClefJ's Dragon Bridge now. :)

You've just made my day wonderful! Thank you - thats so kind of you. It's really nice to hear that my work is appreciated and that I can promote ClefJ's original mod too. I hope you won't be disappointed, it truly is a fantastic design and even beats the marvellous JK on this one. Hopefully using my mod as well completely irons out any doubts about using this overhaul for Dragon Bridge!

Awww, that's good to hear that you have a wonderful day because of my comment and by the way, I always try to be kind. It makes no sense to act like an a-hole. To be nice makes life much easier. This is what I've learned in 45 years I'm on this earth.
I am more than sure that I won't be disappointed, so no worries.
It's now 4 am in the morning were I live, so I haven't had the chance to try ClefJ's Dragon Bridge and your fixes out, but I definitely will when I come home from work and if you like I will write what I think and of course you'll get an endorsement IF I like what you've done. And I already can say that I WILL like it.
I agree with what you've said about JKs Skyrim. It's absolutely fantastic, but I don't use his mod anymore, because I learned to make mods myself and I wanted to change the cities and towns how I like them, so I use my own mods for the changes and you are lucky, because I never changed Dragon Bridge. If I would have had change it too I wouldn't use ClefJ's Dragon Bridge and your fixes. :)

P.S. Please excuse my poor English, but it's not my native language and nobody is perfect, right. ;)

Haha its not just me that stays up until that sort of time then! That would be great, I'd love your feedback.
That's really interesting that you make your own mods for towns and cities! Just making this tweak was hard work so I can't imagine what it's like starting from scratch. Would you ever consider sharing your mods? Best of luck with it.
And don't worry, your english is excellent.
Looking forward to hearing from you

      You're most welcome. :)
I didn't stayed up so long, sorry. I have to get up so early because of work. :) But you have my permission to to stay up as long as you like. ;)
I like people who are night persons. I wish I could do that too, but because of my wife and 2 daughters and work, I can't. :(

First of all, that's why I absolutely appreciate your work on these tweaks, because I KNOW how much work it is and I am truley grateful that you shared it with us. Really!
About sharing my mods... I don't know. I am somehow like George McFly from Back to the Future: "What if the people don't like what I've done? I don't know if I could handle that." :D But on a more serious note, I don't really like to share my mods, but I can't tell you why. Maybe because of people who are ungrateful and who treat some mod makers like crap. I have a friend and she made some very cool mods for Fallout 4. She's my age and she was treated on here like an idiot and like crap and I don't want that for myself. AND I have still a lot to do with my mods. I'm still not quite satisfied. I still have to learn so much about scripting. So many plans, but no clue and no time. Maybe some day. Who knows. But if you like, I could send you my mods when/if I am happy with them and then I can decide if I will upload them on here. We will see...
Okay, I have written enough, I guess. Sorry, I always write too much. It lays in my nature. :)
Anyway, later this evening I will play Skyrim WITHOUT your tweaks, to see the original mod in action and then WITH your tweaks so I can tell what's different and tomorrow I will write to you what I think, if that's okay with you.
Until then, have a very wonderful evening/day wherever you might be. Take care and stay safe.

      Bye bye

P.S. About my English: Thank you and I do my best so that you can understand what the hell I mean. :D

Oh wow that is very early to have to get up for work!
I understand your concerns about sharing your mods and its very sad to hear what happened to your friend. I had some doubts too but you just have to think, you've made the mod for you and only you at the end of the day so it only really matters that the time and effort put into making them is worth it for you and that you like what you've made. If you can share it with others that might also want and like it then that's just an added bonus and in a way an act of kindness. I think most people generally understand that your job isn't making mods for other people in the way that they think they should be, if someone doesn't like it then simply don't use it or change it yourself. I think overall it is a good community on here, there's plenty of nice people such as yourself that give support and kind words. You shouldn't feel pressured into sharing your mods if you don't want to, but I think you might be pleasantly surprised at the support you'd get. I'd happily try out your mods and give you some feedback if you're comfortable with sharing them with me.
No rush, I hope you enjoy trying them both out and I'll look forward to hearing what you think!
      Thanks a lot

I am used to it, because I make this job since over 20 years. :)
Exactly, I made these mods for myself, so there isn't really a need to share them with someone else, is there?
But again, if you would like to see what I've done, I could upload them to my Google drive when I am happy with them and you could test them out.
I have to say, I also use NONE sex-mods from LL (I can't write the link on here) (I don't like the idea of turning a superb fantasy game like Skyrim into a porn-game. There is also too much porn in the world. Its everywhere and it's annoying.), so I also discuss things on there with some users and in my experience the people over there are much nicer and more helpful than on here.
Anyway, this was it from me for now and here are now my "critics". Oh and please excuse the late reply. I had so much other things to do.

      Your changes:
      1. Fixed "Falling through"...
I always hated it when I downloaded a mod that had this issue. So I am more than happy that you've fixed this in your fixed version!

      2. Fixed the physics...

Well done! I had downloaded a mod, where a key should be in a special place, but because of a physics bug, the key was everywhere, but never where it should be and I am grateful that you've fixed a bug of this kind in your mod. Things should always be where they should be. :)
      3. Replaced features from Solstheim. ..
Yes, in the original mod, these laterns look great, but they didn't fit in the world of Skyrim in my opinion and I don't think, that the default lanterns look boring. They are rustic and they fit perfectly in this world. I placed them a lot in my own Riverwood mod and I like them. So, thanks for making Dragon Bridge look again Skyrim-ish. :)
      4. General store changes...
A good change. Shops shouldn't be open 24/7. The shopkeepers need a break too.
      5. Fixed the grey face bug...
I hate grey faces! So thanks!
      6. Added a new Blacksmith...
I always thought that this place looks so empty, without life. So I totally love the fact that there is now someone who fills this empty space with life.
      7. Tweaks to Navmesh...
Well done! I think some NPCs are acting weird enough. They don't have to act much weirder when they are walking against walls and forges. I wish, I would know something about Nav meshing...
      8. Removed hostile-looking bars...
We have something in common. I don't like these things either, so I am grateful, that you removed them.
      9. Added lighting...
I LOVE you for this (and I don't care if you're female or male). I simply love you, because I think, in many many mods the authors make places sometimes too dark and it seems that they don't care about lighting. I had to change the lights in the Private Tower of the mod "Helgen Reborn" for myself, because the darkness was bothering me like crazy.
I love you, because I don't have to make this for myself in this mod as well. :)
      10. The Executioners Chest...
I don't like free things either. I don't like house mods where the houses are for free. A little quest or something would be fine.
Anyway, very wise decision of you.
      11. Decorated the General Store...
And you did a fabulous job with it. I like it very much!
      12. Cleaned with TES5edit...
Cleaned mods are the best! :D

Thanks for all your work and I hope to see some more great mods made by you in the future. Don't worry, I play Skyrim since 7 years and I will play Skyrim in another 7 years. So take your time. I will keep an eye on your work. :)

P.S. I already endorsed your great mod. I also voted for it and you'll get a kudos, to show you my appreciation. THANKS!

Aw thank you so much for taking the time to write all of this, its so kind of you. I'm glad I waited until I had plenty of time to read and reply because your lovely words put a huge smile on my face.
I'll always be happy to try out your mods and give you some feedback if you send me a gdrive link, especially for Riverwood because currently I do not use a mod for Riverwood since I've hated every one I've tried!
I've found some gems on LL too and I'm glad you've had a better experience on there.
As always, DarkFox's video about Navmeshing is super helpful. Soupdragon made tutorials on how to clean Navmesh edits/deletes in TES5edit too.
I'm so glad you like all of my changes, your feedback was so nice to hear.

The flying hanging thane bug was annoying, thank you very much. The main problem I've got with ClefJ mods though, is how Morrowind style assets are used everywhere. Yes, they make towns beautiful and colorful, but it is just too lore-unfriendly.

Yes, I don't mind the door because its actually completely custom with the cute window - just uses the Raven Rock doors as a template. The flag didn't bother me much either but if you don't like it, you can open the console in game, click on it, and type disable

Although I quite enjoyed giving myself this little project, I can't see myself touching that one any time soon. I personally use JK's overhaul for Morthal so I suppose I don't see much need. You could talk to ClefJ himself if you'd like to see an update, and I can point you to some good tutorials on how to clean mods with TES5edit. Sorry I couldn't be more help

By any chance, could you do ClefJ's Morthal next? That one could also use a facelift, not the least of which because of the TES5Edit errors.

Thank you! I'm unlikely to make fixes for SSE since I don't use it myself and don't see making the switch worthwhile. However, if someone would be interested in converting this then I'd happily have a chat about that.
