The house is nice, simple, yet cozy, perfect for staying there training and exploring a bit, but, why would I need that thing in the basement? and just under my bed, don't you thing the smell would be, very bad?? I think some sort of bath with water fed by the river would be more appropriate
That sounds awesome if you are able to do that. I thought the house needed glass panes but couldn't find them in the creation kit. Yea I messed up the land a little bit too with creating the basement, it needs a little tlc and thank you for checking out my mod :)
i love almost any mod that uses the windhelm wood architecture plus i have never seen a mod use the wood and the markarth forge roof together so it got me interested.

i fixed the land, added navmeshing, redid and straightened all the walls, created window frames/door frames and added glass to all 4 windows, redid the floor, added basement walls, made a porch and added some exterior ivy.
i left everything where you placed it and just focused on the house itself. the reason i did not add any forge equipment is because the house is right beside riverwood which already has everything.
when making a house next time try using the snap to grid option as it is easier to align everything and to save finger pain of rotating everything to align. for glass pane all you do is take the large flat display case, copy the mesh path and turn it into a static object, then you use a null texture set to hide the case and leave the glass
You made this house look 100% better I really like it! I haven't used creation kit in a long time, I knew there was an easier way to adjust things but was too lazy to look it up at the time but I should've cause it would've made things less tedious. I didn't expect much to come out of this mod but it really looks nice now with all the windows and new porch and basement. I'll definitely use your ideas as a role model in the future for any other mods I make, I knew the house needed something but some things are hard to put your finger on at a given moment. I'd just like to adjust the rug in the dining area slightly where it's popping cause of the new floor and one window glass is slightly out of frame in the bedroom but overall looks a lot better. Do you want me to add this file to the mod page?
i'll go ahead and give it a once over (since my finger is feeling better) to check the small stuff. i will also recreate the pics you took (Exactly) as i have noble skyrim installed (no enb) so it will help with the wood texture. as for posting, you can upload everything as yours if you want i don't mind.
as for any problems can you post any you find? as i did everything very quickly i may have missed a few things. if you also have any suggestions that you want i can add them.
Update: k everything should be finished now. here is the house:https://mega.nz/#!wd5A2AxT!eLO30-L0bTU6tU42gcce55P2yb0UiyWgoNZ9qkQIN6I and the screenshots: https://mega.nz/#!FBxgnSQT!rmwPgfaRjfXRgPH6uMFuuluhpMAYPgxBQESh7n3ezvM
I thought about that, those should be easy to add in another update and would add to the immersion. And thanks for taking the time to leave feedback and view my mod.
Alvor's forge nearby has everything. Only smelter can be added to complete the smith crafting part. Alchemy lab maybe too as it will be convenient and not odd, An enchanter may feel out-of-place.

EDIT: it seems the land is messed up behind the house as well
