Vanlococo; sorry I haven't been keeping up to date with the RL updates, I haven't been playing Skyrim much lately!
I've tested out the default 3.4 using the recommended texture mods (in addition to the ones I've already been using) and it looks really nice. The weather effects are fantastic.
Then I copied my 1.3.4 ini and only made a couple small changes, tried it out with RL 3.4 and I'm very happy with it
I'll upload this ini very soon, but it will probably be my last (unless there's something wrong with it).
    Have fun!

Good work Pete. Tried a lot of different configs and yours has a great overall effect without being too over saturated and yet powerful but soft colours for general gaming.

Yep increasing lum2 decreases the light source brightness, but unfortunately includes the sky.

Unfortunately indeed, but the trick works well indoors.

For outdoors and dungeons, I think there's a lot to be gained by judicious application of eye adapt and DOF....

I'm trying to brighten the shadows in daytime, without messing with anything else, and seem unable to achieve it without washing out the image.

Are you sure about negatives not working with modifiers? In Pluto's comments in the ini, it says you can use negative values.

Hey Petes, the ini in the link I posted is attached as a zip file at the end of that post.
It is actually the settings I have been working on, he hasn’t really done anything to them.

Maybe you have to be a member to see attached files in that forum.

    Anyway, here it is:

    They are worth checking out.

It could be an idea if everyone added their name and version/date as a comment in their ini files to make it easier for people to compare?

    Mebenn; Thanks mate

Jaguarnaut; Did that guy have his own settings or just link to this ini? I couldn't find his settings. Yeah 3.4 does look good at default settings but I just couldn't make adjustments to the ini with it yet.
Hmm it could be that in 3.4 the values have been reversed for eyeadaptspeed? Previously increasing it made it faster in my testing.
The downside with modifiers is you can't use negative values to decrease the effect. I only used the modifiers in the globals because its easier than reading through all the text above it haha.
Yep increasing lum2 decreases the light source brightness, but unfortunately includes the sky.

I'm definitely looking forward to tweaking 3.4 when its finished, the one thing that still bugs me the most with this lighting mod is the sky is way too bright or the other lights too dim, in most circumstances.

    Sydney said he's colour blind...

Petes, I recommend checking out these settings:

    http://skyrimforums.org/threads/bright-realistic-lighting-settings.7656/

The RL 3.4 seems fine here, with those settings.

I have been using the modifiers to make adjustments and have been playing with the eye adapt parameters.

Eye adapt speed seems incorrectly named, it's more eye adapt time. Increasing it makes the eyeadapt slower.

Seems that the modifers are easier to work with, and perhaps the multipliers can be left to 0 or 1 , mostly.

eg. Increasing the tlum2 modifier can just work as a capper to limit the highlights and prevent them from reaching white light saturation. Shadows remain unaffected.

I think understanding when to use a multiplier and when to use a modifier can be really helpful, I'm working on it!

Hey Petes, I love your INI, the "cold" ambiance but dynamic sunrise/sunset, the bloom... all.
I wait with impatience the 3.4 version of INI, when the release of RL will be out !

    Thanks
