(make sure it's Dragon Form and not Dragon Form FX) this will give you the ID for the power, next type this: player.addspell XXXXXXXX The X's are to be replaced with the ID you got
Boom! a manual fix for this, hope it helps. Sorry! the ID changes, really wanted to further elaborate on that
I've been repairing the mod, not for the author, though if the author wants the work, I'll easily pass it on.
1. Fixed health bugs (with respect to perks), limited by game difficulty because the health was silly high. 2. Fixed the transformation, proper "Beast" mode with fixes from my transformation engine (WIP). 3. MCM: Added 2 hotkeys to settings menu, 1 for "End Dragon Form" and one for "Toggle Dragon Night Eye". 4. MCM: Added 1 setting to settings menu for Dragon Breathe to use while a Dragon, exit MCM and pick the one you want. 5. Dragon Breathe (if set) will automatically be selected when in Dragon Form. 6. MCM: Selecting hate humans and like dragons, makes you a member of "Dragon Faction" and not "Player Faction", so followers are food too! 7. Stopped the Dragon from head tracking, nothing worse than biting in thin air when you mean the one in front of the head beforehand. Biting and Breathing now is aimed at your crosshair and not to where the head is pointed. 8. FNIS SAFE.
Well, at the moment, I'm still fixing other issues, the transform and weapon stance change goes into limbo during the transformation due to switching mid-animation (bleedout), thinking maybe somehow remove the bleedout to see if that solves that one and then fix other things. Also want to look into doing some preloading if possible to avoid CTDs while flying. Was also looking into an easy way to get the dragon to hover, since it isn't so easy now.
Bethesda has 2 files in the main meshes folder that have all the configuration information for the animations (call it a cache if you want), what FNIS Generate for User does is update those 2 files with the updated animations from various mods you have installed, but, when Skyrim reads files, loose files win over those in BSAs, so the two files *in* the BSA will never be used, plus the creature itself (is not supported by any FNIS animations I've seen), won't use any animations outside of the ones for the dragon race anyways, that I've run into, so having FNIS around (I've re-done the for User FNIS a lot while this is active and it has never crashed). The crashes people get when starting to fight with the dragon is based on how the mod was designed, forcing the actor into a specific state which works for the player but not a creature, will cause a crash, it's just a bad way to separate any actor type period, but Bethesda continues to make this misstep (Base Actors was another massive misstep, but I won't get started on that one).
The animations for the dragon work perfectly fine with or without FNIS around, if you want, repack the bsa without the two txt files in the Meshes folder, you most likely won't see any better results. But if you're still CTDing while starting an attack, that is due to a few factors which changing to that race will cause.
Oh nice! Thank you very much for getting back to me! Idk if I will use this mod to fight but if I do I will re-pack. I kinda like having my own headcannon that this Dragonborn can change into a dragon with their powers. I'd love to see what you have done with the mod yourself! Def followin' ya
It's probably pointless asking this 4 years later but, could you upload your update for this or pm me a link for it? I love this mod but I'm starving for some more features and implementation with FNIS would make it seamless..
Any change to the original dragon module cannot change the dragon in this module. I tried to change the damage of the dragon, but I was burned by the original dragon because of this
Any ideas how to add meshes for large wings from the "Immersive Dragons" mod? I tried to add it through the Creation Kit, but the wings are still small only for me as a dragon. I can't figure out what exactly prevents this mod from using a common mesh for dragon's body. I specified the dragon race everywhere in the settings, tried everywhere to mark a new mesh from my game folder, and Creation Kit preview is displayed with large wings... But when I launch my game, the wings are small. This dead end is killing me, gosh.
Please, if you're somehow still using this mod... Try this if you do not have the "Dragon Form" spell Type: help "Dragon Form" 0
make to check for Dragon Form, not Dragon Form FX
Copy down that ID (The random numbers and capital letters).
Finally... Type: player.addspell XXXXXXXX The eight X's being the ID being displayed. If you're like me, who needed to add this manually for some reason, this is the ID for Dragon Form.
