    It works very well, but after hours of play time the quicksave becomes slow anyway. Isn't there a way to actually fix this?

    I take it there is no version of this mod for Skyrim SE? I can't find anything remotely close or anything at all for the special edition.

      It is not needed for SE since SE saves are individually named and so doesn't suffer from the same issue.

    The quicksave portion of this works great, the only problem I gave now is the quickloading. When trying to quickload it says the file is corrupt, but when manually loading the quickload it works fine. I'm guessing the quickload is trying to load the old quicksave file. Any idea of how to fix this?

      Yes you are probably correct it will be looking for the exact filename and it will have been renamed. Not sure there is a way round this

    Self resolved.
    Here is the description after the change. Hope this helps.

      <appSettings>
        <!--
          By default we look for saves in My Documents\My Games\Skyrim and My Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition.
          If you have changed the saves directory then uncomment the next line and set the path to the directory containing the saves.
        -->
        <add key="SavesDirectory" value="D:/MO2/profiles/CMV/saves"/>
        <!--
          FilenameMatches provides a semi-colon or comma separated list of filename that the app renames. For example the value quicksave;autosave will match
          all files named *quicksave*.* and *autosave*.*
        -->
        <add key="FilenameMatches" value="QS;AS"/>

      More details would be useful. Given that it just watches a directory and renames files there isn't much that can go wrong, unless:

      • Your saves directory isn't in the standard place

      • It program doesn't have permissions on the directory
      • Your AV is blocking the program since it is accessing My Documents
      Is anything output on the console?

    Worked for a while ! Then I got this : "Failed to rename quicksave.ess" It says the file name is too long (needs to be less than 260 characters) ... I had to delete that file(with the _____________________________________.bak) in my saves and now it seems to work again?

    I get an error that the directory doesn't exist, but I've never used a different save folder and can confirm it is correct in Windows.

      Where is the saves directory located on your machine? Stanard location is Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves

    Would it be possible to make this work with the quick load function too? I know that right now quick load just says the file is corrupt.

      Unfortunately not. This mod doesn't actually integrate with the game, it just renames save files. Quick load will be failing as it won't find the save files and I don't see how my mod could be made aware that you want to do a quick load.
