Is it possible to add the effects of the spell in the box below ingame instead of it saying ballad 1 ? for example "Song of Haste : Increase attack speed".

Stumbled upon this mod and I absolutely love it! Thank you!

Also, does anyone know what to edit/make a patch so the character uses the wandering lute from Become a Bard instead when using the tunes?

Oh, I LOVE the idea of this mod! I'm an Old School AD&D player as well. I make characters based on AD&D and the old Daggerfall Elder Scrolls game, EG a Nightblade is Mage/Thief, a Spellsword is a Fighter/Mage and so on.

I made custom sound files for the Play and Bash Bard mod, 10 second clips, so the Bardsong effects are basically

    Drums of Panic
    Lute of Frenzy
    Flute of Harmony

But I could only get them to work by replacing the Vanilla Bard music, so they play them as well. For the Bardsong effect, I have to have nothing in my hands, go into Sneak mode and then play the song. I also use Play as a Bard, which has a different Performance mechanic and no Bardsong.

    My Bard build is:
    Speech
    Pickpocket
    Illusion

    Sneak
    Alchemy
    Enchanting

    Smithing
    One-Handed
    Archery
    Light Armour
    Restoration
    Alteration

But as a Bard she is limited in the perks she can get. Jack of All Trades, Master of None, except Performing!

For her Legend Lore skill, she has to take any quest involving lost artefacts, magick items, songs, instruments, poetry etc. So the Bard College quest (very difficult!), Red Eagle's Sword, finding Grimsever for Mjoll and so on

I am SO going to try this out!

    :D

When I install this mod, it prevents my SKSE launching.

I am using Skyrim SEI have tried the original LE version of the mod and have tried converting the mod myself.

Has anyone got any idea why it would prevent my SKSE loading?

This mod is for SLE, not SSE. That's probably the problem. Check the SSE Mod section.

I wish someone would build a bard follower that uses these songs.  They wouldn't even need much of a story, like Celestine, if they were that useful

Works in SSE. Only thing missing is to add it to the leveled list. The camera lock might need some work too. So far this is the only bard centric spell mod I've come across that has great potential!

P.S. Tried messing around with CK and SSEdit. But I can't for the life of me figure out how to add tomes to vendors. It was worth a try though.

Hey, I just got this mod working for SSE and love it so far! As someone who plays a bard frequently this is exactly what I was looking for.

This might be a problem caused by porting, but is the camera supposed to lock when you use one of the spells in third person?

Also it'd be really cool to just have one spell per buff (no ballad, melody, or tune) and have it scale with your speech skill!

Hey, cool to hear you got it working on SSE. The camera locks in standard edition too. It's honestly been a long time since I've looked at the code so I don't remember why it does but it may be for a good reason. I'm looking into it along with some other problems. Curious to know what you had to do to get it working on SSE though because I may be switching to SSE for skyrim together since it is extra buggy for Standard Edition.

I loved this mod on Oldrim.

It really needs an official SE port.

I really enjoyed buffing my followers as they went into battle.

Does anyone know whether it's compatible with "Become a Bard" mod? I've been using that one for a while, but the idea of support spells sounds interesting...

There is no conflict or interaction between the two whatsoever...
