I tried it with SFO and it caused my game to CTD repeatedly. I reduced the CTD issue to 7 mods I have out of 300 and once I disabled Trees Addon I had no more crashes to my desktop. I was very sad about this due to the fact that this mod is absolutely gorgeous and I would have loved for it to have worked in my game along with SFO :(
NOTE: I spent about 8+ hours on this issue and I know of certainty that this mod conflicted with SFO in my own game. I'm not sure if this is a general issue with a lot of modders or not, but it sadly did not work for me. I wish there was some sort of patch that would let it work. It's truly a beautiful mod!
I've been using winedave's great mod alongside SFO for a year or more and never encountered the problem you're facing. There must be something else that's conflicting somewhere, but not SFO.
Used this mod with EVT and also just by itself. Right after starting in Riverwood there is a giant purple tree missing texture and 2 of the tall pines warped at around 45 degree angle. It isn't conflicting with anything literally just have grass installed atm. Regardless what trees I do or don't use mod is messed up any ideas? Cause the trees that do work look good.
hi i did this fTreesMidLODSwitchDist=10000000.0000 fix, and the big trees stopped shrinking. however now the LOD itself for all other trees isnt working anymore. they pop in and out depending on the distance. i dont understand. how can i fix the shrinking trees without ruining all others?
Tree diversity is damn important in Skyrim, I absolutely love these models! I am having an issue with LOD generation though, I'm trying to build 3D LODs for all trees but only the trees from this mod remain 2D. The difference between the 3D LOD and 2D LOD right next to each other is a bit jarring. Could you please advise?
Hi Vararth, if you set up DynDOLOD you have to open the corresponding ini files in the DynDOLOD\Edit Scripts\DynDOLOD folder and use the TreeLOD=0 flag to generate static LOD. I would not recommend using TreeFullFallBack=0 because that generates tree LOD with full 3D trees whenever a _passthru_lod. nif is not found. Before starting DynDOLOD's LOD generation you have to install the necessary matching Hybrid Trees. If the crc32 values don't match DynDOLOD will not find the trees and will fallback to Billboards. You can easily check if the trees are used by looking at the log files after running DynDOLOD. There will be entries like 3D LOD found or not found and you have to check every entry for the trees mods you're installing where DynDOLOD gives the error message that it can't find 3D LOD or Billboards for e.g.: TreePineForest02Dead [TREE:000B927B] meshes\landscape\trees\treepineforestdead02.nif (The first line always tells you which tree LOD is generated for.) Billboard found, 3D LOD found (The second line tells you that a Billboard and a 3D Hybrid tree is found.) LOD4: meshes\dyndolod\lod\trees\treepineforestdead02_f7e166d7passthru_lod.nif (This is the actual 3D Hybrid tree.) LOD8: textures\terrain\lodgen\skyrim.esm\treepineforestdead02_000b927b.dds using internal LOD16: textures\terrain\lodgen\skyrim.esm\treepineforestdead02_000b927b.dds using internal Take note that the _f7e166d7 is the crc32 value specific for that tree otherwise DynDOLOD won't find the tree. The billboard texture has a different crc32 value _000b927b. You can use xEdit to generate new crc32 values for your trees by using the DynDOLOD_CRC32Gen.pas. Take a look at the trees.ultra folder provided with DynDOLOD to find instructions on how to use the script. I hope that helps : )
