This would have saved me a lot of sanity if I knew about this before! I also picked up the Whiterun file early and was banging my head against the wall on what to do about it. EDIT: Nevermind, I just noticed this is the LE version. I already have the SE version. Whyyyy isn't she letting me give this to her... or did I miss the option? I should try again. EDIT2: IT WORKED I'm just blind :p
Hi, i have a problem i cant find the second file, i go to the place but the file is not there how i can skip this or something cos for some reason the file is gone
Many thanks, Grospolina, your patch gave me a reason to finally take Recorder for another play-through.
However, I thought the Follower Count issue was resolved in Ver: 2.3 Why is it back? Aaaarrgghhhh !!!! I see you did quite a lot to Quest 1A00A603 PPRecorderDialogueFollower - is that what's mucked it up, or was it never truly fixed in Ver: 2.3 ??? Also, where you've changed PPRecorderDialogueFollower to DialogueFollower you've inadvertently re-introduced the Hunting Bow problem, eek! Lol - but that was no bigee, I was easily able to remedy that myself. "If it's simple and strong... yadda yadda" That's me, too. <grinning>
I also added back HairColor16 [CLFM: 0200378E] which 0_HairColorMinta [CLFM: 1A029810] blocks, and moved it up one. (FormID List 000E7BED) Why did I mention that? Because from what I've seen in XEdit you are quite the perfectionist and might like to edit your own personal .esp
I have to say, though, and all thanks to you; I am thoroughly enjoying my time with Recorder in this particular play-through. Only level 10 atm but I still think she's plain adorable (even if she's a little sadistic) and her default "Chit Chat" timer suits me just fine.
Seriously annoying bug from nowhere. Recorder speaks but her mouth doesnt move at all, and her mannerisms are all delayed. This is on the Xbox one port that has the patch already installed. I cant look at her when she speaks but I really want to use her as a follower. Assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds great! If you want, you can upload the mod to Nexus and then set it as a translation for the original mod. For instance, if you look at the Description page, there are translations for Japanese and German.
If you haven't made it into a mod yet, then you can either do it yourself (pretty easy in TES5Edit/SSEEdit) or find someone to who's willing to do it.
Hi Rex I see you must have started the mod successfully so this is more for anyone else with the same question. In the forum it says to restart the game but i added the mod at about level 40 and it worked fine. However if you are adding a mod to a game in progress you should make a save just before you install the mod and give it the name of the mod so if you have problems you can delete the mod and continue your game without the "Dirty" save. You use the console to give custom save names. For instance open console (tab key) save (then name perhaps addRecorderMod) enter. Now if you have a prob the solution is simple. Problems in modded Skyrim are normal. Knowing simple tricks like that make life easier. Also use mod organizer as your mod manager because you can make a profile for risky mods. Profiles are a blessing for problem mods or also some of the big mods that are nearly DLCs by them selves or when your game gets too large. That way if you add big game your game isn't so bloated. I currently have 8 games going some of the mods go well some not but If i want to play not bug chase i can play one of the alternates. Also you might want to one keep one game vanilla because sometimes it is easier to navigate problems if something goes wrong or so you can use it to clone a new clean profile.Have fun
and do a quick glance at the comments pages and see if the mod has problems.
Replying to a two year old comment huh. You are a good woman/man, and let no other f***er tell you otherwise. They don't know shit. You just randomly helped a dude you don't know, who's two year old comment might be discarded, who's profile pic might indicate that he might be a shifty bastard, and who might be a daedra worshiper as well (which I am). But you helped anyway. That is very kind of you. Bless you, and may Molag Bal favor you greatly. Thanks. I mean it.
Anyway, I should have updated. That's f***ing negligent of me. My bad. Yeah I installed mid-game. No problems and it works fine. I just dismissed her first, then I do the installation. But I do agree that is generally safer to make a new game, but in this case, I think its okay from personal experience.
No, you don't need to install the meshes and textures. Recorder Bodyslides already comes with body meshes, textures and even the clothing meshes. I'd still recommend installing the Smooth Face fix though. That shouldn't have any problems with a different body. Make sure that Recorder Bodyslides is installed after my patch (NMM: overwrite all, MO: Bodyslides below Bugfix Patch in LEFT pane).
Okay. Got it. Thanks for the detailed response. I sometimes get quite confused with the overwrite stuff. I'm still a noob in a lot of modding aspects. Speaking of being a noob, is this safe to install mid-playthrough? I ask this because currently, Recorder is my companion, and as far as I can understand, this fix alters script, so I assume that might be a bit hazardous, but I'm not too sure on that. Also, I've already poured a hundred hour in my current character. Would really hate to start all over again.
