Borked XML files is borked xml file. Also, given that there is no defined standard for FOMOD installers there can be no such thing as a standard FOMOD installer.
Fix your XML and any mod manager that supports FOMODs won't complain.

I know everyone is already reporting installation problems on Vortex but I'm using the Community NMM and I'm also having issues, it will start to install then when it gets to 50% I get a red circle symbol. Can someone help?
Getting an error trying to install this with Vortex
"The installer Pretty Face Renaissance-91690-1-2-0.7z is invalid and couldn't be installed: Invalid installer script: The Element 'plugin' has invalid child element 'files'. List of possible elements expected: 'conditionFlags, typeDescriptor'. Please inform the mod author."
It works like any other body/face texture replacer: It replaces textures for the female character so it's used on any character that uses these, unless overriden by any other mod that provides custom textures for NPCs (Bijin, etc.)
