The reason some people are complaining about the mod not working properly, I think, is because the mod does not have Requiem.esp as a master, so it gets put by loot above requiem, and so the changes are not applied. Unless the author changes it, you have to manually adjust the load order.
I always felt like gold should not have weight. The game assumes that each coin the player has is of the same value - 1 septim. So if he has 5000 septims, it means he's carrying 5000 coins. But it's logical to assume that in a world with a monetary system they'd come up with coins of higher value, so 5000 septims could easily be 5 coins.
Yes. Or they could have modded it like the dragon age game for example. In that game you het copper coins, silver, and gold. 100 copper would be worth 1 silver coin. And 100 silver coins would be worth 1 gold. Lets say you would find 60 opper coins on one bandit, and the next also has 60 coins. Then in your menu this would change to 1 silver coin, and 20 copper coins. Instead of 120 copper. They could have done something like this as well.
Thanks a lot for making this mod. You could set the weight to 0 manually but I am not tech savvy enough for that. something like 1 weigh for 1000 gold would be reasonable but 1 weight for 100 is way too much.

Edit : I did it myself, let me know if that's something you want to upload here.
