This is a very intriguing idea I had never considered. I'll think on it some more but I like your idea of disabling fast travel and using this mod along with vanilla carriages and boats.
Edit: The only problem that comes to mind is having to travel the entire path to High Hrothgar whenever I want to see the Greybeards.
Yes, there is a few other cases during vanilla / dlc questing where it's just plain stupid to born yourself into not using fast travel at all. That's why disabling regular fast travel is optional and not force-fed despite the new alternative.
Perhaps you could manually add a couple signs in very specific locations where appropriate? There aren't too many of these scenarios, but for example 1 sign in Ivarstead would work. I'll look into the mod "point the way" actually because now that I think about it that mod probably already does all this lol.
Also it doesn't even have to be standard roadsigns, even a billboard featuring a "local map" on it placed in certain towns could be another immersive way to go about doing this so that users dont get tired of seeing the same looking roadsigns very often with mods that add more.
For examples. Location like Windhelm which are in forever snow. i was running around the road to find a road signs....took 30 min and cant find one, that being said, i may have miss it. it so immersive that it blend into the background.

This mod seems to work 'too' well. I don't trust it. I feel like it's sitting there, just waiting for me to go to sleep...
Can someone please confirm if they got this mod to work with "Requiem"
Thanks
However great idea and mod.

Good job on the mod and thank you for sharing
Does it only work if we discover firstly the places we wanted to go?
And, does it affect retexture on signs?
Meshes and textures replacer will work out of the box. New activators point directly to vanilla model.
Ahh shoot! I did read the description before comment, guess I didn't notice that tho :P
Got it, thanks, man.
