I think most people now are playing Skyrim Special Edition (much more stable). You will get even more answers to your thesis survey if you port it. Good luck!

As much as I am enjoying the mod, I seem to have an endless horde of hunters spawning in and following me around....its rather disconcerting.

    Hi,

Idea sounds interesting, do you have any plans on porting this to SE at some point? Or is it there already??
And did I understand correctly that this really dosen't affect any existing NPC:s? (except Innkeepers/couriers)

And is it at some point going to affect?

Hey. Thank you for the feedback. Yes, I do intend to port it to SE as a personal project, after I present my thesis.
Yes, you are correct. It only affects Innkeepers and couriers at the moment. There are however, new NPCs created specifically for this mod. The problem with changing existing NPCs is that it can cause incompatibilities with other mods (that also change those NPCs) and broke quests (if the NPCs are relevant in some quest). It is also my objective to continue developing it and add more classes, quests and NPCs.

So the intention is to only add something new to the game not change what's already there? And yes I get your point that it would create incompatibilities.

Well I look forward on what you can make of this and will keep tracking it. Might test it at some point with SE when it has got more content but till that I wish you success on your path Have a good one.

Until a SE version is out I'll be using my own conversion for personal use, so far everything seems to be working fine. However I'm thinking of using a courier replacer mod - would that possibly cause issues?

As long as the new couriers keep using the same delivery mechanics as the vanilla ones, there shouldn't be a problem :)
Out of curiosity, what was the mod you were thinking for courier replacement?

I'll be really interested in checking this out when you get it ported.

Since you're talking about adding more content, have considered ,and would it be possible, to set this mod up more as a framework that other moders can interact with to create their own content that gets dynamically added or changes the archetypes players can get sorted into?

Interesting idea. This way we could see even more content and a variety even in the game even after a long time of using the final version of this modification. So in theory - Have even more personalized content actually based on the way that we are playing the game. With bigger and more complex quests.

I'm sure I would definitely enjoy the game more, if we would have more quests made in this manner or if the base game would be made like this from the start (taking more informations from our actions and build the world around the data - not just be a good "dragonborn the savior" for the whole game).

    Actually rather disappointed with this.

Very limited archetypes that I barely identify with

And it decided to choose one based off of about 10 minutes of gameplay.

I can't even choose what class I am given at all. Forcibly relying on a system to do it automatically off of a small amount of gameplay is really annoying honestly.

As soon as you mentioned Richard Bartle's player archetypes? I was in. Good luck and I hope your research gets implemented to other games in the future

Thank you for the feedback :) There are some other player models that could worked as well but this was the one that better worked for my project. Hell, you could even make a thesis on Player Types all by themselves.

I actually can't agree with those archetypes myself, I can't quite identify myself with any of them.

Hi there. I have explored many other player models and made experiments on Robin Laws player models too. The Richard Bartle was the one that achieved better test results for the small training set that I used, but there are definitively other model that could have been implemented. I highly recommend some of the increments that have been made to Laws player types and the BrainHex model. Check them out on Google.

Would this be incompatible with Immersive Citizens, Providential Courier Service and Live Another Life?

Hi there, I've already address alternate start mods in other answers. For Providential Courier Service, as long as it doesn't change the vanilla scripts mods it should be OK and Immersive Citizens I think it's OK too if they don't change innkeepers vanilla scripts too :) Try it and let me know of your experience. If you see any bug please report it on the bugs section. :)

Amazing potential here, this could be a remedy to what Skyrim always lacked - the player's actions influencing the world, and actually matter, like, at all. I don't know what your plans are or what the mod does exactly in its current state, and I don't really feel like starting my 500th new character to test it at the moment, but oh boy do I wish to see this mod developed further. I always wanted NPCs to be able to despise or revere me depending on my actions and quest choices. A system a bit deeper than just paying off some meaningless "bounty" or having a "thane" title that doesn't change anyone's approach to you. I mean, the RP in RPG is supposed to stand for "role-playing" ... Bethesda always seem to forget or ignore that. I get that it might be out of the scope of this mod, but one can always dream.

Anyway, I'm definitely gonna endorse for the wonderful idea, and because I really want to see this get popular and expanded on.

Hi sarcasticshark, thank you for your feedback. It would definitely be a great feature on games to come (even if just an option). That's what I'm trying to achieve with my thesis: Player Modeling systems are beneficial and, if implemented properly, they can improve player enjoyment and game replayability. Have you tried the mod yet? What are your opinions on it?
