I hate Fallout, its so dull and boring so no lol. To add a boomstick and chainsaw would require either creating totally new meshes and textures from scratch (which I have no idea how to do) or importing the models from somewhere which is also a pain in the ass for two reasons. 1) I would have to get permission from the creator of the said models and as most modders on here just ignore their private messages that could takes years. 2) I have no idea how to import meshes from other games\sources into Skyrim. If you or anyone you know however knows how to do this I would be happy to add them to the mod and give credit where it is due
Well, fallout it HAS to be dull. Or better, it should be dystopic, bleak. It's a post-apocalittic setting, after all. It's either you like it or not. Sure, if you don't, then it's ok, no hard feelings. To port stuff i could do that with no problem, you just have to tell me. Anyway i meant that in fallout games you have ALREADY chainsaw and shotgun. So you wouldn't need to port anything. (Well, maybe if you want the chainsaw replacing the hand of the character) Besides, i don't know if you didn't know already, but in fallout 3 there's already a quest (from the dlc point lookout) that is an easter-egg-sorta of Evil Dead. Improving that (which isn't very long) with something like this would be very cool.
Of course I was going to look through the folders before trying the mod, when I noticed that it was adding a video file I checked that out, and I knew this was going to be quite an experience
Hilariously enough, I was just telling my friend my next playthrough would be inspired by Army of Darkness, as in I roleplay as myself falling into Skyrim via a portal, "except I won't have the Necronomicon or a chainsaw". Which made me wonder. So I google searched. And I found this. XD
Will be downloading and trying out sometime. Looks interesting. Thanks for your hard work.
EDIT: I do have a couple of questions, though, if someone - mod author or not - would be so kind as to answer.
1) Do we get to keep the Necronomicon and does it gives us powers of some kind? (No need to spoil it, although I'd love to have a rough idea of what it does.)
2) How strong is the chainsaw and does it make a chainsaw noise when used? :P EDIT 2: Answered my own question here. Yes it makes the noise, and it's not OP; 18 Atk power. Quite reasonable, I like it.
3) Are the 'Bruce Campbell one liners for bosses' limited to bosses from this mod, or is this a 'now applies to all bosses in the game' kind of deal? EDIT 3: Confirmed on only the bosses from the mod.
Heh. Thought I was the only one playing an isekaied badass. Mine's a fanatical Umayyad warlord dying in some battlefield in Anatolia, then reincarnated to Skyrim. s#*! was horrifying for my warmongering, Aedra hating war criminal (I have Monster Wars and a s#*! ton of monster and horror mods, so you can tell why), but this foul-mouthed badass prevailed.
Anyway, since you've played the mod, are there any issues or anything? I've played Land of Mordor from this same mod author and things works just fine. Was wondering if this one will be just as smooth sailing.
NICEEEEE MOD! btw just in case you were looking for an Ash chainsaw model. https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/evil-dead-chainsaw-2389b2db6e874c4287f43c34caedd394
A few models have textures which point to a specific folder on the C drive rather than the textures folder outright, this could cause issues for people who have the game on another harddrive (ranciddeadite.nif, The Beast.nif and the new chainsaw were ones I found).
Thanks. I dont know how to make the textures universal. Perhaps you or someone who knows how to do this could do it and upload a little patch or something?
I never comment, but had to for you in order to say thank you. ive been looking for something like this for a while but had zero hope or expectations, and your mod exceeded them all. i dont have any fancy graphics overhauls so i had little to no trouble navigating and if i remember correctly, no glitches. i have over 300 mods installed (a good deal are merged) so thats very unexpected for me. once i entered the cabin, saw the book with the voiceover and cutscene, i fell in love. and as someone with an OP character who one shots everything but just needs to smash things, i truly loved entering the graveyard and seeing my compass light up red. and i loved the dark souls reference. i had just finished playing the first one when i saw that, so it had extra weight for me.
without giving too much away, the one thing id improve upon in the future is the village. quick fixes would be to rename the buildings and add more npcs. i was half expecting the whole town to become possessed or to have an army of darkness inspired battle at some point, but the simple approach worked just fine with me. i roleplay as conan the barbarian, with the appropriate armor and race mods,. and not only did i enjoy the universe crossover, but i like the idea of him having both the necronomicon ex mortis and oghma infinium next to each other in his trophy room. if books could talk, right? but that is another story......
Praise the great old ones! Please tell me that you can side with Cthulhu/ The Old Ones, I played another skyrim cthulhu mod once upon a time and I loved the fact that you could side with cthulhu.

Thanks to morrowind1979 for granting me permission to port The Evil Dead Mod over to Skyrim SE Nexus for us Skyrim SE users to enjoy.
