So how do I use this mod again? Is it embedded within your character or do I need to open the console? If I need to open the console, what do I need to type in?

And just in passing - I usually play a mage so not much concerned about "realism" in swordplay - swords, especially Western/European, were more bludgeons than swords, iron & steel are HEAVY (forget Hollywood aluminium BS) and wielding them for any length of time required a great deal of strength, and training. The people back in those days lived a much more physical life without all the machines, mechanical/electrical/electronic aids we use today, so they ate much more and worked much harder physically - so they were (in appropriate professions) much more fit and strong (and so, for instance, while Adrienne the Whiterun smith looks pretty, for a smith, she is a joke, wielding a heavy hammer all day gives MUSCLES. WARRIORS (and smiths!) were MUSCULAR AND FIT. In Chinese (for example) warriors used to be said to have a large "tan", meaning great breadth of chest. My bet is that none of you lot (or me) could fight your way out of a wet paper bag if you had to fight multiple enemies, using iron or steel weaponry, AND in armor. Romans trained with LEAD armor for years to strengthen themselves up for wearing and fighting in full armor. (Sure the lead was bad for them but that's not the point, and sure they were SCARED of the Celts, who fought naked (hah! who here has played Morrowind ( TESIII not TES Online) and went to Solstheim ?! ) because the Celts beat them and they were only spared Rome and most of Italy being overrun by them because they took a few days off to feast and celebrate their victory (and half or so went home) so giving the Romans time to reorganize and reinforce, but that's not the point either). Now, go and read (that's /read/, not 'watch') some Conan, read how he was surrounded by enemies but 'leaped over their heads, in a quick pantherish move' (and other such moves and manoeuvres) - now could YOU leap over anyone's head in a fight ? let alone multiple enemies waving swords and spears who are there specifically to kill you.. The concept of Realism needs to be tempered in fantasy, but the degree of tempering is an individual matter of taste. If you feel multiple NPCs being hit by one sword isn't your cup of tea, well don't use it, but why spoil it for others ? [gamsahamnida!]

European swords were neither "bludgeons" nor HEAVY. The average soldier back in the day was rather slim, nothing like a modern Bodybuilder nor a Strongman. European swords were far, far ahead of anything eastern cutting, balance and usability wise. But yes, being a Blacksmith makes you STRONK.
