That's a funny question: I was sure I read this on UESP somewhere, but couldn't find the source anymore so I changed the mod's description. Let's say I made this up until (and if) I find out more, lol!

Even if it has some logic, as the ebony is black like a crow, nowhere it says that this has been the origin of her name. I like very much small immersive mods like this one.
Bethesda's based in Maryland. You know Raven Rock in Fallout 3? That's an actual IRL place, just there in Pennsylvania. They used the name because it's a local reference. In-universe it's probably because of the Ebony. I've never, ever heard of it being a reference to a bird-shaped rock formation (which we never see ingame either).

Because the place was named Raven Rock due the ebony in the earth not some rock:

I love mods like this, that add little details and subtly enhance the landscape. I don't care if it's lore friendly or not, now Raven Rock has a bit more character. You make awesome mods :)

Also, is Raven Rock in lore really named after a rock formation? I can't find anything to confirm this. Or did you make that up?
