I want to use this mod. But seems instead of getting the speed penalty of 40% speed reduction... I get a 40% speed increase! Been testing with Iron Axe at the start, weight of 11, and it swings way fast. But equip Iron Sword, weight of 10, and it swings normal, slower than the axe though.

I have narrowed it down to the perks mod I use.

    TTRSO - TheThirdRace Skill Overhaul

    https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/33860

I tried reloading a save after removing the perks, but it still swung fast. So I started a new file with them off from the start and Burdens of Skyrim worked correctly. So must be some script loaded in at the start from TTRSO that messes with this mod.

Be nice if there is some simple fix or reason to this. I guess otherwise I have to go without this mod or go with another perk overhaul mod.

Found a fix. For anyone who wonders in later on. TTRSO had a Weapon Speed Fix. Burdens of Skyrim does it's own work around weapon speed fix. Those two stacked. From what I understand, 1+1=2 and then it subtracts 0.4 from that so becomes 1.6 weapon speed instead, to why penalty actually gave more weapon speed.

With help from TTRSO mod author, found a solution. Open TES5Edit for Burdens of Skyrim. Under "Spell" look at the left and right hand penalty pages. Toward the bottom of each, you will see "Magnitude" of 0.6000. Just change that to -0.4000. Should do the trick, for anyone finding issues.

I already have a mod or two for turning onehanded weaps into twohanders and back. Do you track whether weapon weight is coming from one hand or two?

The weight limit for weapons is the same for both one handed and two handed weapons.

That's...Unimmersive. If you are using two hands, the weight on each hand should be much less!!!
Maybe penalize onehanded from too much weight in the hands, only penalizing twohanded for WAY too much weight...

Hello, is there a way to customize the initial strenghts?

Solved by myself. Just use TES5Edit ad look into the "global" values.

Would it be possible to add a MCM slider to adjust the degradation rate?

Hi there! I absolutely love this mod but I'm also running item weight mods which make armor very heavy and weapons much lighter. Would be great if I could suggest maybe an .ini file to mess with the values, for instance growth and starting strength so it's more customizable. Thanks again for the mod.

"Bit late", but you can change these values with TESV edit.

This seems great, but how does it work with Glass/Stalhrim? Also doesn't it penalize heavy armor builds?

A bit more user-friendliness is the only thing I have planned since the concept and implementation of the mod are fairly simple. What else would you like to see?

It's excellent as it is, wanted to know if it was considered complete so i would try and merge it

Cant think of anything else, i really like the way it force me to use others armor and stuff before using the more weighted options, liking the customization.

You have such a great mind for mods continue the great work !

Great mod, truly. But I am finding hard to understand which armor to wear, since there is nothing I can use as a guide, example: Aphoteus armor, I can only wear the gauntlets and the helmet, the mod gave me heavy armor penalty if I equip the chest part or the boots. I will be cool to have at least an ingame list within the mcm menu. Like this is only guessing and that's not cool. And regrading to th smith process, It will give penalties if I temper something that is on the edge of my usage strenght? Another solution may be adding some lines the equipment like frostfall do or making an add on to a mod that changes the names for better sorting experience.
Minor things, I love the challenge that provides.
    Thanks for sharing man.

The MCM will tell you your strength for each tracked equipment slot (head, hands, chest, feet), and this strength number directly corresponds to the weight value shown in your inventory for the item. Strength is the maximum weight an item can be before penalties, and the usage threshold adds to the weight you can equip but with penalties.

I'll try to come up with a more convenient way to check gear ad hoc.

      > And regrading to th smith process, It will give penalties if I temper something that is on the edge of my usage strenght?

I don't recall tempering changing weight, so it shouldn't have any effect that wasn't already present for the item.

Something like hotkeyed check spell would be nice, like, you press a key and your stats comes up, or a widget that displays the strenght values on the side of screen or smth like this!
