Great tool. The Havok Content Tools cmd installer no longer seems to work though, because the google link it opens for the source no longer seems shared. The same required version of HCT can be found here fortunately, and it seems to work fine.
hey it works everything for my thx to distars guide... but where can i check the meaning of that variables? SkySA_TriggerIntervalWin SkySA_AttackWin StartSkySA_AttackWinEnd attackStop ShdEquip
i cant activate it.. when i drop an hkx file on dump nothing happen. i installed the havok engine with the link postet here. i Installed Visuall Studio express c and havok content tool x64_2010-2-0_20101115
Does this work in SE? I have a greatsword sprinting animation but no footprint sound. I tried adding the .hkx file into the dump file but it produces anno text file with no values
what you want to do with it? you have to take care of many things before you can use it on skysa. if you are on SE edition the animation needs to be 64bit and then you just have to add motion data with this tool to the file. Afterwards you can just rename the animation and replace the old data to your liking depending on what move you want to have
1. Setup the program A. Create a folder named "HK" in C: drive, B. From the downloaded zip file, extract and move hkanno.exe to the HK folder.
2. Setup the animation files A. Create 3 sub-folders in the HK folder. Name them: GOOD, BAD, FIXED. B. Move the .hkx animation files that you want to fix into BAD. C. Locate known working hkx files that have the same names as your BAD files. Copy these in the GOOD folder. D. The FIXED folder is where you are going to put a file after you fix it.
3. Running the exe A. Press Win+R > Type cmd then enter > Type cd\ then enter > Type cd hk then enter> You should see C:\HK as your prompt (I'm going to refer to this as the DOS window) B. Using Explorer, copy the first file (file 1) from the GOOD folder into the HK folder. C. Using DOS window, type hkanno.exe dump <file 1 name>.hkx If no error message appears, this should create a new file named anno.txt in the same folder. Open it with notepad if you are curious. The last 2 lines are the important ones, the others are just comments. I assume these are time settings of the footfall sound for each foot. D. Using Explorer, Copy file 1 from BAD folder to the HK folder and overwrite the GOOD file. E. Using DOS window, type hkanno.exe update -i anno.txt <file 1 name>.hkx F. If no error message appears in the DOS window, move file 1 from HK to FIXED using windows explorer G. Delete anno.txt. This is optional but a good idea. G. Rinse, Lather, Repeat.
Man you are a legend for helping poor souls like us!
One more concern I have . So SkySA bloodskal blade power attack in third person is broken. It doesn't shoot the laser.
I am now confused what .hkx files I need to fix here. If you could please tell me the third person animation file names for bloodskal blade I would be so so grateful.
hkanno.exe only handles the x86 (LE) version of animation.hkx. If you want to handle x64 (SE) version of animation.hkx, you have to do x64->x86 arch conversion in advance.
You can use Havok Content Tools to perform arch conversions. In addition, it is convenient to use hct.exe included in hkxPoser for SSE for conversion. Usage: hct.exe -o out.hkx x64.hkx
The location of HCT is described in INSTALL-HCT-en.txt of hkxPoser for SSE.
Does anyone know the values for the unsheathed animations from this?: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/34663 The sheathed versions do not have any footstep sounds.

Who ever sent you here to fix that doesn't know what they are saying
A. Create a folder named "HK" in C: drive,
B. From the downloaded zip file, extract and move hkanno.exe to the HK folder.
2. Setup the animation files
3. Running the exe
A. Press Win+R > Type cmd then enter > Type cd\ then enter > Type cd hk then enter> You should see C:\HK as your prompt (I'm going to refer to this as the DOS window)

D. Using Explorer, Copy file 1 from BAD folder to the HK folder and overwrite the GOOD file.
E. Using DOS window, type hkanno.exe update -i anno.txt <file 1 name>.hkx
F. If no error message appears in the DOS window, move file 1 from HK to FIXED using windows explorer
G. Delete anno.txt. This is optional but a good idea.
