Thank you to everyone who has downloaded and enjoyed my mods over the years. It's amazing to see so many people enjoying the content I create.
I no longer intend to provide updates to any of my existing mods and focus some time on new projects. I will be keeping the bug reports tab available for reporting issues and offering solutions to anyone else that may encounter similar issues.
Here and there, you may find me replying to some comments but certainly not all.
You are free to create alternative versions of my mods, patches or translations so long as I and others included in the original mod's development are clearly credited for their work.
Do these work from interior to interior, and are they follower-friendly? I would love to be able to do crafting at one house mod and alchemy at another and so on without having to exit the one house and vanilla-Fast-Travel to the other and go inside it and wander around in it to get to the right room.
Hawt-diggety dawg! PS: I had a mod like this in Morrowind, some kind of teleport stones. You had to go ALL over the game world to find them all, but I did eventually and they were a Good Thing.
This is a really good, seamlessly integrated mod, and extremely useful for those who like to hoard houses and need a lore-friendly, balanced way to connect them. Definitely made my "must download" list (and I'm a guy who runs the 255-mod max, plus whatever I can stuff in courtesy of bash patches) and I'm stunned it only has 204 DL's and just 30 thumbs-ups...which means the community simply isn't aware enough of this mod. They should be.
The only problem is there are just five of these portals...and I'm a greedy bugger. A possible thought I had is that with a particular tome, some rare or at least costly ingredients (grand soul gems, void salts, perfect gemstones, and whatnot) and a high enough enchanting skill (90+) more of these portals might be craftable at a crafting forge. You could put together a veritable network of these things that way...
Actually, thought about it, and here's one possible solution that seems workable.... 1) "Shalidor's Portal Tome" could be placed at the location where the original five stones are found 2) To make a new set of stones, the Tome + 5 perfect gemstones (1 each of ruby, amethyst, emerald, sapphire, and diamond) + 5 grand soul gems, with the minimum requirement of an enchant skill of 90+, is added to crafting forge 3) Recipe creates 5 new portal stones (named Alteration II, Conjuration II, etc), PLUS a "Shalidor Spell Tome scrap" which can in turn be used to create a third tome...since this is a unique item that is consumed upon crafting you'll never have to worry about creating duplicates 4) To keep portal link addresses from looking like a phone book, each portal can only access the other four of its set, PLUS all the others of its kind - Alteration Portal can link to all the originals - Conjuration, Destruction, Illusion, Restoration - PLUS Alteration II, (if it exists), Alteration III (if it exists), etc...but not any of the others that are not in its set or type
Anyhow, just a thought, but it seems like it could work. Awesome work regardless, though, sir.
Thanks for the long descriptive comment and your thoughts on the mod. Feedback is always appreictaed, however this particluar project really was just something on the side I created when I didn't have my other projects to hand. The mod was never really hyped in any way, hence the low download count compared to my other works. I'm not really going to be returning to the mod I'm afraid to carry out any updates as everything works as intended and I never wanted to expand the mod further than this.
My revamp of Caranthir Tower Reborn however may have the potential to add a more in-depth portal system but that mod's going to be in development at least until the end of this year.
I used a lot of your tutorials, and I first found out about this mod a few weeks ago, when you released a video giving a preview. Ive been waiting ever since, so good to finally be able to download and use this mod. Thanks for all the work you do, mods, sources and tutorials.
(aka jofish15) Can't wait to play this! I've been following the progress of this on your excellent Twitch/Youtube streams. Like all of your other creations this looks like it will be another excellent, high-quality mod that will definitely make it's way into my load order. Congrats.

I already completed the dungeon and got the portal but I have 2 "Old Keys" and I have no idea what they're for.
Regardless, very nice and useful mod, the portals look great. Endorsed!
