    I recently started using Death alternative mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/45894/) now when i deactivate the mana Shield i instantly die . Any Work around or possible fix?

      Look like u deactived when your heal drop below 99%. When in ManaShield, you have 20000+Base Health ( to avoid dying ) because I can't direct damage completely to Magicka.
      Sorry for this inconvenient bug ! If there are some codes/scripts that allows to calculate taken damage better, this problem shall be fixed !
      If you think this bug is because of mod-conflicting, then you can test with a SINGLE ENEMY, let it hit you, then stay a way from it, then deact MS to see if you die or not. My mod doesn't touch in Death Event, just giving u 20000 Health to prevent dying, which is normal and logic.

    Can you make a script to damage mana instead of health?

      I have tried to make one, but sadly there is no accurate script like that. I asked the another ManaShieldMod's author for help but sadly he doesn't know either. That's why I use trick that giving you big number of Health to avoid one-shotted, but when you turn off ManaShield, your Health get back to normal.
      Just wonder why it matter to you ? Because I think mostly people come to this mod are Wizard, Pure Mage...and mostly doesn't care about Health :3

      Susano'o lesser power from the Uchiha Clan mod directs damage to mana/magicka instead of health and dispels if there isn't any left (letting damage go straight to health again). That author may have a suggestion (if real life hasnt taken them...)

      It is possible to make such a script, my mod has a barrier toggle ability that doesn't required SKSE, however, it only protect against magical harm and can reflect spells too. It directly damages your magic pool instead of your Health pool. But I also have a older script which protects against both magical and physical harm too. Which I am planning on releasing as a new update for my mod. However, it will required SKSE though.

      @Titansbane Would you mind sharing me that script :? I tried script from Uchiha Clan and it seem not accurry in calculating and only direct Physical Damage.

    This mod is honestly really awesome!
    However, i got the following problem: The shield effect wont wear off when my magicka is fully depleted. My character just gets invincible instead. When i end it manually, i take all the damage at once.

    I've been trying to use the mana shield visual effect for a spell I made for personal use on Special Edition, but for some reason the effect is invisible in game. What would I need to do to make it work?

      Open my esp file, search Magic Effect: Mana Shield Effect. Edit on that but REMEMBER change the ID to make it become a new spell and don't touch Visual Effect otherwise you have to extract the BSA file !

      Maybe you will have to wait long for the MCM because I'm just a newbie hehe :3 For now, I will make optional file.esp .
      I wonder what aspect you need to edit ? Give me suggest then If I can, I will make an optional file.esp .

      well i was thinking control of how much damage it can take before it breaks, mana drain cost, color schemes :D stuff like that.

    Not sure if it's possible (or if you'd even know how to) but it would be cool to customise the colour of the shield in some way (like a fire mage making an orange fiery looking shield instead of a blue shield for example, or a necromancer making a purple/black shield)

    I really like the idea. And will certainly take this for a test play, but as a spell with a toggle function, if you'd consider the suggestion, I think this would work better as a lesser power than a spell. Whether an optional to function as a lesser power, or changing it from a spell to a lesser power entirely would naturally be up to you.

      Thks for suggestion. In my opinion:
      + In logic: LesserPower is for powerful skill while ManaShield is just a Wizard's basic skill (but Skyrim doesn't have ) so ManaShield should be a Spell.
      + In convenience: Like u said, toggle function should belong to LessonPower
      Finally, I will add an optional file that which is LessonPower as you wish. Dear !

      Optional file than replacing it as a spell is certainly the better choice for those who prefer to use it as a spell. Thank you very much.

    Thanks for the mana shield! Works as advertised, and the visual effect being hidden (unless looking down past a 45-degree angle) in first-person view while sneaking is a nice bonus.

      Actually, it's hidden by my mistake :3 But, like u said, it should be hidden while Sneaking.
