Sooo... I honestly didn't think this little mod of mine would get any attention... or the praise it has O.o
I... I don't know what to say or how to feel.... Except I 'might' work on adding other journals or diaries to the game that can be found and read that will expose a little detail about some of the characters around Skyrim... even if I have to make stuff up lol
I always adopt Braith and Sissel (from Rorikstead) because they have they have horrible families. I just add Braith to the adoption faction and then I kill Sissel's abusive father and adopt her and let her sister go to Riften. I always imagine Braith will grow up to be a warrior and Sissel a powerful mage (based on her dialog with the old guy where she normally lives). Then I usually adopt all the homeless kids using the multi adoption mod. I always found her tough act adorable, lol.
I always kill Lemkil, and adopt Sissel. I would love to see Sissel grow up to become the Arch-Mage of the College of Winterhold. Given the fact that I always marry Illia, Sissel would grow up learning how to use magic is a positive and responsible manner.
As for Britte, I adopt Runa, and then let Britte stay in Honourhall. That way, Britte can be the only girl, and the boys will bully HER, and make HER do all the chores. Maybe being abusive to your sister was not such a good idea after all, Britte.
The first time I heard Limkel talking about his daughters the way he does, I console-killed him and said "Oh looky there... old fella had a heart attack..." :P Then I proceeded to adopt both Sissel and Britte and show them the love they deserve.
Edit: I adopted both Sissel and Britte and they get along just fine, with the exception of the random name-calling contest all adopted kids get into occasionally :P
There's probably hope for Britte, but since I'm limited to 6, I feel like there are too many homeless children that could use a home. They can probably reunite when they're a little older.
Cool. I've seen it before, but didn't really like the overall design. It kind of makes me want to create a more normal boarding school type of building though. I just can't seem to figure out how to create LODs so I never really bother building stuff anymore.
Braith has always been my favorite kid in Skyrim. My werewolf character killed her parents and adopted her as soon as she was sent to Honorhall. Did the same thing for Sissel.
Hahahha lols ( that was just too funny ) ! I really like this, I do the adopt thing anymore , but this just a tweeny incy bit just might make me want to again ,
I saw this mod a bit ago but just last night heard the heartbreaking conversation (outside, not in the house) between Braith and her mom, and then Braith immediately went off to bully again. So I had to come back for this diary. Makes me think of her in a new, tragic light. Wish there was a way to take her in, even though I've got no interest in adopting kids this round.
Wow, i uploaded a video maybe 3 days ago with this conversation, because i never saw this lines of dialogue inside her house too! I felt the same! Poor girl xD +1 Karma
This is actually pretty nice addition and has given me some ideas for my BUVARP mod.
I might do some dialogue editing for Braith, perhaps an alternate ending for the "http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Bullying_Braith".
I'm thinking of adding a new dialogue option when you talk to Braith and use a persuasion check to ask her if she's having troubles.
This will eventually lead to a line which will let her apologize to Lars.
Perhaps even a line tell her you understand her situation and give her a hug?
Also, an option to adopt her, but that would mean convincing her parents.
Finally, I was thinking of somehow connecting this with an addition to the Mara questline, to help Braith speak to Lars and tell him she actually loves him.
Aww, I would love to see a mod like that! I might not go with adoption while she still has parents alive, as I think rather than wanting ANYONE to love her, she would want her parents to love and pay attention to her. I am sure they do love her, but need a serious parenting check! A reconciliation would be great. :) Maybe after we get Braith to open up to us about her home troubles, we could have the option to talk to her parents? And having her apologize to Lars would be awesome. I'm also a fan of connecting this to the Mara questline, a follow-up quest maybe? We helped the adults, the elders, and the dead...time to help a lovesick little girl confess! That would be super adorable.
