This tiny mod is the best staff mod ive found for Skyrim, and ive spent quite a bit of time searhcing.. Considering that its not even its primary purpose - its incredible. Can cast own spells, including those of other mods? Yep. Forgoes the stupid idea of "charges* in a staff and useless base game staff enchanting alltogether? Check. Provides an incentive to actually use a staff? Check. Makes one wish it was expanded upon. Something like a hotkey to cycle switch profiles without pausing the game would go a long way.

Spellsword adds a custom enchantment and a button assignment. So for example you have a sword enchanted with the Fireball spell, if you press your assigned button (mouse 4 in my case) it swings the sword and the sword casts a fireball in the direction you are facing. The problem with this is that the sword can only cast one spell. Your method as I understand can let you cast different spells depending on the bash. The good thing with Spell sword is you can have a shield that casts healing when you engage it in blocking. So I was thinking I could do a crusader type with a shield enchanted with a Spellsword enchantment then use your mod for offense.
That seems doable. However, with this mod you can assign a spell to cast when you block-bash, which works even if you have the enchantment on the sword, but bash with a shield. So this mod can perform defense as well.
Do you mean cast when bashing with shield? Because I was planning to enchant my shield with healing spells (Spellsword allows me to cast a healing spell when blocking). So I guess shield bashing will cash something from yours while blocking will trigger the spellsword enchantment. Hmm. I'll see how it goes. The problem being I either have to do a quick playthrough to get the spellsword enchantments in whiterun or try to find out their console commant stuff. LOL.

gonna give this a try... So far I only had the enchanting perk from Ordinator fire spells on power attack/bash, but it does have limitations (aka ~10s CD and only one spell). Makes me want yout two authors cooperate to incorporate this into the perk. But whatever. Roleplay is overrated. Mods+Console ftw.
I just hope it's not quite as script heavy as TK Dodge, man I had like 28 CTDs and freezes just from Helgen to Riverwood till I deleted it. My poor old laptop is not made for this stuff.
Edit: works nice enough, though only for destruction spells? No paladin for me then :( can't get restoration or alteration spells to work. Selt targeted heal breaks the whole thing (no casts for any moves) and alteration Corrosion (armor break, targeted) just doesn't fire (Edit2: whoa, seems like it fires, but only if you target enemy or a breakable object like those draugr lamps.. probably bcs it's not a projectile spell but insta-effect)
I don''t know why, but my game is CTDing like crazy (when using this mod, but I'm not sure it's this).
Normal saves are fine, as they pause the game (and therefore scripts), but I get a CTD on 80% autosaves and I can't find a goddamn reason. I fast travel? CTD. Use console? CTD. Wait? CTD, Enter Cell? CTD. Leave inventory? CTD. Leave conversation/crafting? CTD.
thankfully I CTD AFTER creating an autosave after entering cell, so I don't lose progress, but with every other CTD I lose all progress, which makes me want to grab an axe and frikkin demolish my rig, then go looking for skyrim's devs and hang them by the balls for making such a lousy engine.
PS: don't use this mod with a warhammer. Spells shoot so fast you're not even swinging yet lol. Attached a frost nova to right power attack and it explodes like 1 full second before I swing the damn thing

Edit: Nvm I fixed it by loading a prior save
Edit: The bug is back again :(
Edit: Okay found the problem, it only happens when i use the mage standing stone, any ideas why?
