You'd think that because it is based off of "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" Your character would become more powerful from surviving attacks.
ABSORBING a deadbody (and sending it to oblivion) to make yourself stronger is not very immersive. You should try another way to take the bonus from a dead npc, you know... Maybe an automatic system that gives you the bonus after your victim dies.
HI MoonKhajiit, yah, for people who likes to play in an immersive way, it is totally true, witch is why I'm working on a new version of this mod. I should be able to finish it very soon. Bu t I'll still leave this mod as it is because, there are people who likes to play this mod as it is. The new version will be released as a new mod, since a lot of things as changed, basically 90%.
Crom!!!! Conan the Barbarian Lives Haahhahahahahahahhahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!! Make me some Conan Mods Master!!!!!!!!! HAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!! Crom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi guys, I have being working on the new version of the mod non stopping, A LOT of thing have changed, for the better I think , it change so much that I'm thinking in releasing a new mod, STRONGER BY KILLING 2. Well let me know your thoughts.
There are so many ideas that this mod gives me that would just make Skyrim the ultimate experience. Not sure how hard it would be to implement the following
Killing creatures gives damage bonus to damage against creature type
Killing with Weapon use gives damage bonus to weapon type
Killing with magic gives damage bonus to elemental type
Hahahaha, fullex2064, I know what you mean, hahahhaa since when I release the first version, I came up with a new idea (already implemented it the new version), than I had a second idea(already implemented too), kkkkk, and now i have a third idea(which I'm working on)...
Love this. Will make my vampire playthroughs cooler. Is there any way to make this activate without needing to use the power? I don't know anything about scripting...
Ondeath only works if it is applaied to the victim, so I would have to give this call to every single NPCs in the game, witch I have no if it is possibly, even if it was it would a heavy script mod. But thanks for pointing that out.
I think you would need to make a quest with dynamic aliases (or whatever it's called :D ), and you are probably right about it being heavy scripted. Or you could use OnHit event to mark( with a spell for example) an NPC when you hit him or her, and then use OnDeath event.
Thanks dailyplanet, i did a research about that, and while I was reading some stuffs, I came up with a new approach, which will be even lighter script, and it will work with any new modded npcs. By tomorrow night, I think I'll be releasing a new version of the mod.
Love the concept of this mod! I’d like to see What if you treated the effect like and enchanted item instead of a lesser power? And it’s a weightless item that’s always in your inventory that casts the effect in a way similar to the way soul trap acts? I’d think it’d be a perfect mod if it automatically added to your power on defeating foes!
Really happy that you liked the mod, I'm working a new version that hopefully, will discard the usage of the spell. I would appreciate your input when the new version comes out.
Definitely will let you know my thoughts on it. I'm about to install the current version right now just to start implementing it in my load order and adjust it to my games mechanics. I won't mind starting a new game once you come out with the new version!
Why not just ask the mod authors of a couple of experience mods here on the Nexus how they get a separate experience count for killed npcs? Their experience pool is completely separated from the vanilla skyrim XP pool. I would assume that they have a way built into their scripts to detect when an npc was killed, since they have to give you X amount of XP based on how powerful the enemy is.
thanks Deathneko11, that's something i'm considering to do, but first i want to try anything in my power first, xD I already tried 3 approaches but, no luck so far, these i spent a lot of time on then, cuz I thought they would do it:
OnStorykillactor -> could be a good solution, but it only fires once, I don't know why, OnTrackedStatsEvent -> but it does not fires for all Tracked Stats, unfortunately the ones I need was being Tracked by the System so, :(
Actually i'm right now working on it, I already figured out a way to make the event trigger upon killing, without the need of using a spell nor enchanted item. The only problem is that the event is only firing once, ????. Anyways i'll keep working on it.
Sullyivan, thanks alot for you comment you trully ripped a smile from my face. xD Hahaha, yah, I didn't thought about it before, actually i'm gonna use this line on mod's description

Good luck!
