Could I use the character customisation to make it raccoon like? Looks amazing, definitely downloading. To get my lilmothiit previously i’d Had to be a lykaoi but this is way more immersive! Thanks!
I mean could you add a grey skin texture to the skin option? Just a nitpick, but I really wanted to be able to play like that! Would RaceMenu allow me to do that? Also, would Coverkhajiits affect this? And finally does this work without Dawnguard? Thanks for the mod again!
I believe racemenu would let you, but I'm likely gonna add a few new skin tones on the darker spectrum with a new update. And I think coverkhajiits affects it, at least it appeared to when I tested it out, but my eyes may have been playing tricks on me. And it only requires what the description says it requires. I'm glad you like it! Also I'd really like to see how you make it look like a raccoon, so feel free to upload a screenshot : )
The original Fennec race mod was missing several textures (most notably normals and speculars) and instead used Khajiit textures as fallbacks for those. I assume this works the same way because nothing seems to have changed about the meshes and textures. Since CoverKhajiits does replace the head normals and speculars for Khajiit, then the Lilmothiit should get those improved textures as well.
@Foxpaw: if you really want to have a playable raccoon-like race you may want to explicitly request a mod like that elsewhere, at least in the Mod Requests section of the forum instead of in the comments of a single mod. The chances of it actually happening will be higher.
This mod isn't meant to be an improvement on, or better than, the Fennec Race. The only relation that this mod has to the Fennec race is that I used the Fennec meshes and textures, which I'm upgrading to a hi-res version as soon as I can get the textures from LL (For some reason, the mod with the textures won't download on my end???)
The Lilmothiit are a lore race from Black Marsh that are likely related to Khajiit, but the Fennec Race is just a furry fox race, so if you care about lore, then my mod is better. And as this mod draws inspiration from Imperious, if you are a fan of Imperious' race setup, you may like this mod for that reason as well. This mod has more content in general, but it's really up to personal taste, yanno?
It's also worth noting that my race compilation Zebsirious is going to have a more updated version of this mod included in it, so if you haven't downloaded this mod already, you should wait until Zebsirious is uploaded, which should be tomorrow, if nothing goes wrong.
@Zebsi: if by "hi-res version" from LL you are refering to YAOS, you could try contacting Bad Dog directly if you are having trouble downloading the mod to get the assets. Otherwise, if you don't want to do so through LL, you could PM me and I could take care of that for you.
No problem. I'm a Chinese player and I like furry. I often looking for some mod related to furry. I'm sorry I won't make string files, but I'll translate the ESP file,OK ? Can I ask some questions ? Does this mod don't seem to support UNP or CBBE ? Is it because I'm missing something ? Or you don't have this kind of plan? I will support you, really, Come on ! :-)
i use racemenu and try to change the colour in that but it's more like adding a transparent layer over the original colour and changes the colour of the hands.
how did you shape the khajiit head into a fox one? does the head morph as usual in character customization menu? I kinda really need something like that for my own project.
I didn't make the head, I took it from the Fennec race mod. And yep, everything works, except for complexion. And I gotta figure it out too, otherwise idk how I'm gonna make the kamal
Tell me about it, I'm actually trying to find a custom head right now so I can start making the Kothringi, and I got nothing. Do you by any chance know how to make small chances to a mesh, like change the ear shape to be human instead of elven, and like remove horns?
@Zebsi: The base head mesh file is the exact same for all humanoid races, human and mer alike. The differences between them are caused by the race-specific morphs included in one of the tri files that go with the head mesh (can't remember which one exactly). That's what makes Bretons or Redguards have rounder faces and gives elves their pointy ears and sharp facial features.
For something simple like replacing the elf ears with human ones, you can simply edit the "Morph Race" setting in the race data to point to one of the human races, and your custom race should get the same base head (including ears) as whichever vanilla human race you used. So for example if you set that parameter to "NordRace", your race will get the same ingame head shape as Nords do, and same with the other races.
Not sure what you mean exactly with "removing horns", so I can't help you on that without more information.
Thank you! I was originally going to use a mod with elf ears and dremora horns as a base for my next race mod, but I actually just found an alternative that will work even better
Looking good for a custom Race, Just a Question I need to ask before I eventually download it. I'm guessing the body type for both male and female are Vanilla, But i was wondering if it will work with bodies like CBBE for females and SoS Body for males (Hdt might i add).
Otherwise I would love to see a Shark race eventually :)
Thanks! But I'm not sure if it will work with those mods. And to be frank, if they don't work, I'm not really concerned, since I'm not big on that weird stuff anyway.
The original Fennec textures are built for the vanilla bodies only, so they will have bugs when used with custom body replacers; also in the case of SOS there won't be any available AddOns for them. So no, they are not compatible with those.
Females may (key word: may) look good enough with UNP bodies because UNP uses the vanilla UV and while you won't get detailed bits you shouldn't get big seams or stuff like that either; but with CBBE you will get bugs and it will look bad, period.
As for the shark race, it has been done already... by yours truly. Search for Shark Race or check my profile (Sorry for the self-advertising but it was relevant, lol).
I'm not sure if it is a bug of my mod setup or with this file, but when I make a Lilmothiit female character she ends up using the male animations and voice.

Also, you don't have to, but I'd appreciate it if you endorsed this file before you translate it : )

I'm looking forward to your mod.
Although it would be nice if changing the colour changed the whole body.
