    It just works.

Does this mod make NPCs see worse in the dark?

No this only modifies the how dark it "looks" not how dark NPCs experience, that is done a different way

This is great, there is no reason to use Night Eye, torches, light spells or anything of the sort in vanilla because of how bright everywhere is. Now I just need a mod that makes the Dragonborn trip over rocks and branches when walking at night without a light source.

Thanks for the mod. I really like it. Not too dark, not too bright... just.. Simply Darker Nights :p
    I highly recommend this. Endorsed.

Will try your "Simply Better Torches" mod since I noticed my enemy's Vanilla torch light's brightness range is too low during nights.

Nice mod!  Works as advertised.  I figured it would go along well with Draugnarok, so I posted a screenshot.

This is a great compromise between holy crap I can't see anything to this moon is so bright never mind about being heard I'd be seen 5 miles away trying to sneak.

    Posted up some screen shots...

With Rudy's enb and your mod the nights are still not dark to the level where you need a torch, but now it's way better,
i still have to lower brightnes of the nights in enb menu from 0.45 to 0.15,then it's perfect darkness, but sadly doing so it also dims all sources of lighting(torches, campfires and such),so then you need other mods for brighter torches,campfires... :/:) it complicates, but helps to some degree..
what would be absolutely awesome is to see this mod updated in some future, with even more darkness
there aren't any/much good mods to choose from in this category, and this one is closest to perfection for me
    anyway,thank you,endorsed and kudos ! Really good job !

I think Purity changes the nights as well so im not sure. In that case one will just overwrite the other i think depending on the load order. You could go ahead and try them and see what effect you get.

It doesn't work with Purity at all, regardless of Load Order. In fact, it actually makes Purity Realistic (dark) brighter than it already is.

This mod has a perfect balance in immersion and playability. It is not very dark so you can see the landscape but it forces us to use torches and spells.

It works very well combining it with "Real Vision ENB" and "Darkened Dungeons".
