Clearspring Overlook 2017 ReadMe
I created the Clearspring Overlook Game Save because I really liked the location. The shipwreck provides a great place to store things and to enjoy the great views of that area. The Cave gives it that extra exploration factor. Having Hunters in the area gave me the idea to set it up like a Hunters Camp. I chose to lock a lot of the containers to give the Save that extra challenge factor and to increase the Lockpicking Skills. The idea of using the QA Smoke Cell was to provide a central access to the Player Homes although you dont own them yet except for Breezehome. I couldnt include the Hearthfire Homes because they are not built yet. I will provide some important details below to help with the Game Save.
The starting character is a male nord at level 10 named Tarnelius. His stats are average except for extra carry weight, extra perk points, lots of dragon souls and blessings from several standing stones. The character has advanced past the Main starter Quests and is ready to start Dawnguard, Dragonborn, Hearthfires and a few side quests. Your inventory is basic although once you start searching the area you will pick up plenty of gear and gold. You are geared up like a Hunter and you have a Tent for living plus a camp area. A lot of the containers are locked so you will need to search for lockpicks. I have provided a smithing area so that you can improve your gear or make your own. There is a small anvil near the Cave with a couple of tiny barrels. I left it there specifically just to make jewellery. You will find a shrine to Talos and a satchel containing Amulets. Wearing one of them will give you no wait shouts, youll just have to try them. The next two things you will find is a Cave and the Shipwreck in the side of the hill. Search every part of the ship for more items and keep gathering lockpicks.
Look everywhere carefully as some of the containers are well tucked away but not impossible to get. The ship also has an Alchemy and Enchanting area complete with stock inventory. You also notice that you will have all of the effects of the ingredients shown when you use them and all enchants are available. Enjoy the great views from the ship. Now to the Cave. Once you enter the Cave you will get the opportunity to use the Change Race Menu so that you can customise your character. Further down the cave you will run into locked gates. After unlocking the gates search the cave for more lockpicks and loot. There are 2 additional doors in the cave, one goes to another cave and the other goes to QA Smoke Editors Cell. The other Cave challenges the hunter in you as you will face off Elk, goats, bears and sabre cats. What surprises await! Unlock the QA Smoke hatch and welcome to my Redux of this cell. There are tons of containers and all crafting stations. This area has been set up with some challenges to make it more interesting. I have provided access to all of the major player homes except for Hearthfires, Solsthiem and a few other odd areas. The access at this time is limited to empty homes as you have not purchased them yet. The benefits of this access will be seen later on when youve purchased the houses. Important note: You will need the Keys to some of the Houses to get out of the house into Skyrim. These keys are located in the Warehouse Traps area and you will need the Whirlwind Shout to gain access to them. You will find the keys in a Safe.
I have included some enchanted jewellery and placed them in some of the locked chests around the QA Smoke area and also in the Warehouse Traps area. Using the jewellery will greatly increase a lot of your skills. There is also a room full of merchant chests and empty barrels. The idea is to take out what you need and put them into the barrels because the chests normally respawn after so many days. My apologise, I havent tested them yet. Just a note on my Chairs as you will find in most of my Game saves I use a lot of chairs to access hidden areas. Same goes with this save, if you see the back of a chair sticking out from a wall or some area, just click on it and you will be taken to the other side. Just my way of not using doors. One more note: When you travel through Riverwood there are some barrels on the hill side of the town. They will be full of extra items which you can use. Almost forgot, the first lot of large chests that you will see in the QA Smoke Cell are filled with items to use for your Hearthfire homes. The large wooden fence that you see blocks access to the Dragonborn area. Hint, dive into the water (after you have unlocked the gates). To return to the other side - click on the chair. Enjoy the Game Save and let me know if you have any questions.
