Depending on source it can be both as military issue basket hilts were referred to contemporaneously as claymores. This could have been from claymore being used as blanket term for all Scottish swords though.

Regardless I believe the term 'claybeg' is the more correct term for the basket hilt.

Good to see this mod getting an update! I hope my earlier telegram was of some minor, small inspiration. My offer to share the textures used on my personal version of your mod is still good, and I'm actually getting ready to do some more retexures, experimenting with titanium, now that I actually have workable ones. (Finally!)

As a note, my modified version of your sword has been my most recent character's main weapon, and I found that by turning the Shield Scale down very low in Racemenu, to where the shields are the size of bucklers or targes, makes the weapon go very, very well with virtually any light set. I in particular suggest some of the Redguard shields such as from from the Redguard Armory as these make perfect buckler/targes when reduced in scale.

Many thanks for a great mod!

First, I'll apologize for taking a while to reply. I've been dealing with some clones of my other mod, and that left me in a bad mood regarding sharing things. I didn't want to over-react when you seem to be trying to handle things the right way.

The expansion had been planned since the initial release of the mod, but health issues took me away from modding for a year and a half almost. All encouragement helps though.

As far as sharing textures... It depends what you have in mind. If you're hoping that I'll give up Vioxsis's meshes in trade, no can do. He put alot of time into them and is reasonably proud of his work. If you want to jump on the creative team here however, that's a possibility. The textures are going to have to be something that stands out though. Most metals look like polished steel or chrome. That's why Vioxsis did the Silver textures as a sort of burnished finish so it'd stand out and be visually distinguishable from Steel.

Interesting idea on the shields. It's not too hard to scale in the CK either by my understanding. You should make that into a mod.
