Just a suggestion, To make this a better mod. I suggest not touching the original lunar enchantment and weapons at all. Instead, take your full list of special nordic weapons and give them the true lunar forge recipe. This way we do not lose the original enchantments and gain a new one that is the cut lore variation. Any ways this is just my suggestion to make it more compatible in the game without losing any of the vanilla enchantments. Thus in theory you only added to the game not altered it. You could even put in notes in a book saying that they guy who was researching it was still researching more potential enchantments related to the moon. You could also apply these new weapons to the advanced smithing perk tree as a way to block access to the new weapons early on. Forcing players to rank up to enjoy the new enchanted gear.
First make your global variable if you haven't. Then open your book and press the Add button next to the script window on the right. A window will pop up, select the [new script] option at the top of the list. Name it DefaultSetGlobalOnRead or something similar then click ok, and it'll show up in the script window of the book. Right click the script itself and choose Edit Source.
Paste in the script below: ;Script below this line;
Globalvariable property MyGlobal Auto
Event OnRead() MyGlobal.SetValue(1.00) EndEvent
;script above this line;
Save the script, then go in the properties of the script and fill in MyGlobal with whatever your global is.
Thanks for this, during every playthrough the silent moon camp left an impression of a huge lost potential - the rich experience of a highly sought-out secret, a valuable knowledge, an unique crafting conditioning... all left to little to no relevance. Thank you very much for working this further.
Ahh, thanks, I'll be sure to update it once I get the chance.
Also, cause i don't know here/when it first appeared .. did this mod also secretly add enchanted arrows? Once I first came to the Lunar Forge, I found there were new magical arrows of each type, and I only have Elemental Arrows that does that (I think), and said arrows can now be crafted elsewhere too.
Holy s#*! no. There's a lunar bow but that's it. Just went looking and I don't have magical arrow recipes on my game's forges. May be mods conflicting. You should look at tesvedit, and change their orders around a bit to see if it solves itself.
Its not a bug or anything, I'm just wondering where I could have picked up a second group of magical arrows ... hmm, maybe its from Ordinator Perks. Thanks for the quick replies.
Thank you SO MUCH for this. I always thought it strange how Skyforge seems the only one of its kind, and how underwhelming the Lunar Weapons were despite having so much potential. This is awesome!
You know, I've never heard about the Lunar Forge. I guess this will make it a better experience when I finally discover it, eh? I agree with the love for Requiem (Even if I've never gotten very far with it), and appreciate that this was made with it in mind. Very nice logo you've got there. Love the 'Luna'r look of it. Very ponfessional. I wonder if there's anything for the sun, maybe summer related... I'm sure you get it by now. Then again, there's that small possibility that you didn't know... anyway, I've gone on long enough; I'll be downloading this soon.
That's great to know! After all these years this game still manages to honestly surprise people, and that's amazing. And about the sun forge, if there isn't you can bet I'll consider adding one!
First i will download this mod and endorse it just because i identify myself with your first paragraph of the introduction, and also nice and well organised description page, and your idea for the mod couldn't be more detailed even if i asked for it personally. i'm curently more into SSE, but i will try to port this when i have the time, and try it out first on classic. Nice work.
Oh yeah, the Lunar Forge being the forgotten redhead stepsister of the skyforge never sit well with me. It should've been more fleshed out to start with!
Altho maybe more screenshots would be nice so you could like show enchantments how they look after downloading mod...
This actually inspire me to make like Lunar Smith character (maybe also Werewolf for moon theme or something... or Vampire maybe?).
Just need to find good armor set for that kind of character, and finish my Argonian Electromancer-Archer in Robes build made on mix of Ordinator, Skytweak, Autocast, Archery Overhaul and some more mods...
