About this mod

A simple re-texture for the pine forest landscapes

Permissions and credits
Changelogs

This mod is a re-texture of the pine forest landscape textures mainly used in Riverwood and Falkreath areas. The photos were sources from actual scans of pine forests and color matched to look very similar to vanilla.

Normal downloads are are up to 4k with 2k uncompressed normal maps. (Read why in the FAQ section) 4K uncompressed normal maps are available as an optional, but seriously not recommended.

        Requirements & Compatibility

Since theses are just 6 textures it's just about compatibile with anything that doesn't modify the same textures. If you choose the parallax options, you must have ENB setup to take advantage of terrain parallax.

Make sure to choose the resolution that fits your PC's specs. (Don't run 4k if you're using Intel HD graphics for example)

         Q&A's

Q: What setup did you use in the screenshots?
A: Clarity ENBSFOUnique Grasses and Groundcovers, and Enhanced Landscapes

Q: Why only 2K uncompressed normal maps?
A: Simply put DXT1 compression is not meant for normal maps, because they suffer greatly from artifacting. This is really apparent on landscape textures. So the alternative is to use totally uncompressed textures. This provides the greatest quality and in my opinion is worth it. It's up to you if you want to compress them or not. The reason I didn't include 4K uncompressed normal maps in the regular download is because they are roughly 86mb each and seriously impractical. However they are uploaded as an optional just in case.

Q: SE Edition?
A: When I have SE installed again, then i'll convert it over.
