For those who have the eye reflection issue on Arien's right eye at certain angles, where the entire iris has a weird dull reflection to it (enb or non enb) vs the left eye (discussed in https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4822845-simple-custom-follower-weird-eye-reflection/)
This is due to a missing association found in "00000D62.NIF" (Arien's face geometry). To correct this (thanks to turulo and Brokenfast for their sticky post):
Part 1: - Copy "eyebrown_sk.dds" from "...\Data\Textures\Actors\character\eyes" and paste into "...\Data\Textures\Actors\character\Arien".
If you don't have the eyebrown_sk.dds, you can download and extract that from the "Eye of Beauty NPC eyes texture replacer" in the optionals. The Eyes of Beauty link: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13722?tab=files
Part 2-A: - You will need NifSkope (google nifskope skyrim if you don't have, get from the github link) - Follow turulo's first sticky section in the Posts: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40494 . You do not need to download the merge mod. The steps in the sticky applies to "00000D62.NIF" file found in "\Data\meshes\actors\character\FaceGenData\FaceGeom\Arien.esp"
The part where that sticky tells you to follow the pictures: 1st picture - "unclick" you have to first double click the highlighted row to enable the drop down list. 2nd picture - already set up properly for Arien
Part 2-B: - Follow Brokenfast's comments in the same sticky section mentioned above. To clarify what Broken means:
In the same 00000D62.NIF opened in NifSkope:
3 NiNode .....26 NiTriShape ........27 NiTriShapeData ...........28 NiAdditionalGeometryData <- this line won't be here and is the missing association, you will need to create:
1. Right click on 27, Block -> Insert -> NiA...NiAdditionalGeometryData (this will auto assign the number 28 to NiAdditional...) 2. Left click on 27 and enter "28" where you see "Additional Data" located in the bottom window. At this point 28 will now be a child to 27. 3. Left click on 28, enter "176" for Num Vertices, '1' for both Num Block infos and Num Blocks.
For steps 2 & 3, you have to double click on the empty field to edit.
Followed all steps, and problem still persists. Also, from your part 2-A, the steps depicted in the 1st picture are already done in the original mod?
Anyone have a patch/fixed version they'd be willing to send me
EDIT: ah I got it working, step 6 in the 1st picture is wrong. with arien, eye environment mapping is already checked, but have to uncheck that and check environment mapping
I love her design she's gorgeous but not unrealistically so. Only problem I'm having is she won't wear anything but the default armor I found her in, the leather set. No matter what I give her she won't equip the body armor just the boots/gloves/etc. I used the console to remove all her equipment and start from naked but when I give her body armor her leather set just reappears. Any help would be great!
Really great work amigo! High spirited and beautiful. Hates dragons and draugh! No issues...Thanks for all your time and obvious effort. endorsed hell yeah!
I installed this mod, (great looking follower btw) and got a problem where the wrists on my characters arms get a large gap. Somehow, this mod seems to affect the seams on the bodymesh I'using , which is REALLY weird. :/ I use UUNP - UNPB with bodyslide. I did some troubleshooting just to verify, and the problem only occurs with this mod installed.
EDIT: I also tried manually copying the same mesh and textures I use for my character onto this follower, but it did not fix the problem. So there seems to be some kind of conflict between this mod and Bodyslide.
I have the same problem. Also, when I enter Dragonsreach, the name is gone and replaced with empty squares. I've had Este for a while now and had/have no instances or problems with her installed. I'm hoping there's a fix because I'd like to have Arien also.
Cool! Thank you! It's like ShmooZ said, the 3 squares isn't a big deal at all, but if you can fix the wrist gap, Arien will have a permanent spot in my load order. And congrats on making the Hot Files!
To odairrotbarts: Here is the problem with the wrists: You changed the armor of skinnaked (default) to point to _nakedhands as well as _skinnaked (your follower) therefore every npc that loads before your follower is going to have wrist gaps. Somehow you managed to delete the default nakedhands as well. You may have to rebuild the esp due to the fact that you deleted the default nakedhands. Also, since you don't have a low weight mesh it leads to larger gaps on characters below 100 weight, the lower the weight, the larger the gap. Hope this helps. Good looking NPC by the way.
For a quick fix people can move the esp up to the top of the load order before any other follower or npc mods and it should do the trick and also copy high and low meshes that they use into the mesh folder of your mod.
The Dragonreach issue is due to the NPC being created on a non English language in Skyrim. It happens when the NPC is placed. The easy fix is to use TES5edit, select and load the " Devin2.esp" and go to Cell>Block5>Sub-Block 5 and on the right panel as a header you will see Skyrim| Dawnguard | Devin2. If you move to the right where it says FULL-Name you will see that under Devin2 it is a bunch of symbols instead of saying " Dragonsreach ". Simply right click to edit and type " Dragonsreach " over the symbols. Save and exit.
Thank you woody1213. I'll try the load order move, but for my skills (or lack there of) there is no easy fix. I do thank you very much for your time and sharing that.
Can't wait for the next version. There's a tiny bit of mismatch on the wrists, but the beauty is perfect. You are a genius. Your next mission of course is to find a lady with a voice to match!
By the way,the oringinal page of this follower is here:http://www.9damao.com/thread-29678-1-1.html.So you can simply find that she probly was created in Chinese enivironment.LOL
I just want to thank you for the update. I just checked her out and everything is perfect! Thank you very much for taking the time to update. She's awesome!
Awesome new follower and really appreciated! She's gorgeous!
I have one question tho, how did you get Triss' Armor in black and gray? It looks awesome, but I don't seen to find any retexture like that :s If you don't know which dress I'm talking about, it's the one in the 7th picture.

But I will be doing a screen set for her soon.
Used my custom BodySlide preset UUNP body meshes, custom skin texture combo, and some eye file tweaks.
I'll upload the new version in the weekend.
