Should I get XP for smelting?
I don't get any and the description of the mod does not mention it (anymore?).

Most inclusive recycling mod I know of. If anyone doesn't know which mod to choose for recycling the most junk, this is it.

I like this mod. It seems to be working fine in Skyrim SE so far.

Is it possible to add in a Quick Smelt in Misc at the Top where instead of having a specific Item, you can smelt anything into say Leather, Iron or Steel, etc with the Penalty of getting only 1 Leather or Ingot out of it or based on Lore-Friendly Rules.
If possible base the Material given back off the
    - Price like a 100 Gold per Leather (So if something cost 200 gold then you get 2 Ingots, etc),
    - Name like Steel = 1 Steel Ingot or Chest = Multiple Ingots by 2 or Add 2 Ingots of Name

Reason is due to Standalone Mods in which items can be created, but not smelted because everybody who makes a Smelting Mod is too specific with the recipes (And I wouldn't ask for someone to make a recipes for everything).

Only thing is display what is being smelt before you smelt it and allow people to skip single item (1-XX Arrows) or whole (All Arrows) so that way people don't have to store items else where.

In-Game: Tanning > Misc or Use another Category, but send item to proper Category > Quick Leather: Any Item or Display Item and use either key to switch back and forth between items or choose from list when Confirm and how much at time > Confirm
    Smelter > Misc > Quick Iron > Confirm (Yes or No, List) >Iron Sword: 30Gold = 1 Ingot, Iron Chest = 175Gold = 2 Ingot (1 per 75gold) > Confirm (Multi-Choose...Sword & Chest, Choose how much at same time...10 Sword, but I can choose 5) so I choose 5 Swords and 2 Chest > Get 5 + 4 = 9 Ingots

This mod does need a few updates, can you give permission to let someone else update this for you? This mod is so epic.

Recently returned to Skyrim, I was fortunate to stumble upon Sharlikran's Compatibility Patches here, when looking to update some of my favorites: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/26230/?

Val's Crafting Meltdown is included there. Although Skarlikran's patch was posted in April 2013 (Val's last comment here is 9/13) I believe it's a cleaned version of this mod, and was used with permission.

      From Sharlikran's description:
Vals Crafting Meltdown Alpha - Melting Smelting and Fletchin -- valdosa
Version 2 uses an NMM installer for the Arrows and Non-Arrows versions.
      Posted With Permission
      Does not require original mod

Enjoy as much as I am!

Yeah but there are some issues though.
There are 2 entries for hide shields. 1 to get 1 leather back and another to get 2 leather back.

Awesome mod, thank you! I tried the others and they seem to break normal smelting, this one works just as it should. Please keep it updated

Try using Shalrikahn's compatibility version. The original (this one) is not required.
