OK, I really like this mod even love it, but what is a proppers mod setings to learn this spells ? It pas around 4-5 days at the beginning of the game ( fist basic spell on novice level ) and I still didnt learn it. I also use Apocalipse mod that add lots of spells and learning some of them will take whole game .... if lucky. Anybody have resonable settings that I could enjoy this mod and learn spells in a commonsense time
This Mod is really great! I enjoy the feeling of immersion this mod provides.
I just have the Problem that the Mod doesn't show up in MCM. Is there any way to edit the configuration without using MCM? I've already done the "setstage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1" and it didn't help, which is why I'm asking about doing it manually.
Amazing mod it's only a shame that i don't get to watch my character read a book like in better spell learning, it would be neat if there could be both the reading the book part and having the notes. But i guess that would mess up with the compatibility of the mod?
Love the mod! :D But I have a question. Is it compatible with Arcanum - A New Age of Magic? Arcanum is a mod that add some basic spells to vendor lists (They are enabled to discovery, nice) and some that are a part of the craft system and test/quest system of the mod (so no discovery here, ok too). The possible problem is "Note that you shouldn't use mods to add spells directly from the mod. Add the spell tomes instead if you want to cheat. Not every spell is castable and 90% of the spells in the mod files aren't used, they're placeholders or designed to trigger some backend stuff that makes the real spells function". Quoted from the Arcanum's mod page So... my question is What happens when we add a spell to our study list and what happens when we learn it? Will it be compatible with Arcanum spells? Thanks in advance! Great mod, I loved it!
Thoroughly enjoying this mod! Quick question: Is there a way to make so the automatic spell learning option randomly selects a school, rather than defaulting to whatever school was used the most? Thanks!
Very good and needed mod. Here's my feedback: This would be even better, if the spell book was added to the list and converted to spell notes ONLY if you actually read the book (as when you click to learn the spell in vanilla). With so many spell mods, it's gets annoying to always be deleting unwanted spells from the list.
You're right, but AFAIK that isn't possible without attaching scripts to book records, and that particular implementation would dramatically degrade the universal compatibility of my mod. So I decided against it.
This mod seems like a safer more up-to-date alternative to Better Spell Learning. Hopefully it works, since Better Spell Learning crashed my game numerous times and I had to remove it. I'll report on how it works with an already modded save game.
EDIT: Works perfectly fine with a modded save mid-way through! :) A much more immersive take on it I feel. Thankyou for this mod<3 For anyone who hasn't switched, DO SO!
You get as many paper notes as the gold price of the book, and the total number of notes you have in your inventory is used to calculate part of your learning bonus.
