Have you tried that alpha version in misc? I've been using torches and totally forgot about these.

Great mod. Goes very well with placeable bedrolls. But, while trying to merge this and your wolfskin bedroll mod, i got errors in some of the leveled lists, coming from this mod. Is there a dependence that should be installed?

no dependencies needed. There may be some errors in the leveled lists that need to be fixed. I actually stopped using this when i came out with torch wall sconces anywhere

If there are no dependencies, i'll just remove the empty entries and the errors will be gone. No need to discard a good mod. But now that i looked into your other mod, i'm going to download it too. Hearthfire basements lighing sucks. Thanks for the mods, man!

Sounds like a plan and YW. I also stopped using wolfskin bedrolls as well after my other mod. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/104682 That one is my favorite.

An excellent mod and I've found it to be very useful, especially the different light intensity options. I found the lanterns difficult to place accurately at first but Jaxonz Positioner soon solved that. Endorsed.

The E can be a bit tricky at times, to turn it on, but otherwise, this is a great mod!

Hey its Mikeynexus! You friend are a hero in these parts. Mothers tell tales to their children of the great lantern smith who provided his craft to all and making Skyrim even more beautiful.

Haha! Thanks. I'm currently working on a new release of my lanterns; autoswitching that actually detects sunrise/sunset for exterior lanterns, swaying lanterns, full SMIM lanterns options, much nicer fittings and fixtures, and full wearable lanterns compatibility. It's just taking some time to patch for a dozen other city mods!

I bet. During the FOmod install, When I saw all the the different lantern materials initially, I knew I had reached the pentacle of lantern mods. Then I was reading through all the patches. I remember thinking "Ohhhh this is a complete Skyrim lantern overhaul as well. This can't be just one person doing all of this work." I moved on to looking at the file structure and saw all the stands, brackets, hooks and mounts not to mention all the different light colors and thought "This is insane. I came here looking for a placeable lantern and I stumbled upon The Lantern World." I felt ashamed going back to my 1K textures and vanilla lantern chassis after seeing all that. I must say after using the 6 intensity light settings there is no going back to vanilla from that. I was only expecting off, low and high. Thanks again for sharing your most excellent work. That will be one of my essential mods when I get a better computer.

    Reporting a finding:

Opening it in TES5Edit showed that the laterns ( MiscItem ) have a lot of FORM ID errors. There are incorrect properties assigned to the Virtual Machine Adaptor in a number of instances.

Things like [07008F6B] < Error: Could not be resolved >

I guess that can be easily fixed.

      Thanks, will fix em

171026 update- Lowered center of mass on lantern where they tend land upright when dropped. Corrected info in ESP.

ok. i installed mod and went to the console and gave myself candles and lanterns. then i forged a cool lantern.

this is where things became very hard to do.

i dropped the lantern trying to place it on table or the floor. but it kept getting moved around, falling sideways, doing everything but standing straight. by accident i finally got it semi straight. it said it was at light level 0. so I hit "E" and got level 1, and a nice stained glass appeared and went away. still no light. I hit e again and got levels 2 to 5 to work . 5 is way too bright to be realistic. but it worked. kept hitting e until it was back to level zero. I held down E to pick it up. the game said I had acquired a cool lamp. but the lamp stayed. weird. so i tried again, until it finally dissipated. checked my inventory, and had 5 of them now! it multiplied them the times it picked them up but did not get rid of the lamp in world.

i am stating the events, i do not know if I did things right or what. but those are the events i saw.

Ok, kinda sounds like the script didn't translate well to SE. I did notice a bug in Skyrim X32 if you drop more than one at a time out of your inventory things get quirky.

      Thanks for the descriptive testing.

      glad to help.

i have converted TONS of my mods to se, and I have to tell you that scripts needed no adjusting at all. I can tryu to recompile a script to see if there are errors though as skse64 is still beta.

I respect your effort and work. Modding is very time consuming and often thankless.

If its not the scripts then really the only other thing are the meshes which I ran through nif-optimizer for SSE. if you have experience converting. By all means please do so.

Very nice idea, but I hope you consider making a SMIM version. Allot of us, and I mean allot of us like the and use the SMIM lantern that is in that mod. Not sure how well your mod is going to take having its mesh replaced if its based on the base one. Just something to think on.
