Decided to finally change the name of the mod, considering how this works so well for many mods outside of Realistic Lighting. New screens will be coming soon.
Had a look at the default 12min torch in tes45edit. Found a bug. While the duration of the light effect has been extended the duration of the shadow hasn't. This may also be the case with the other versions.
do you think a burnt torch could be added? frostfall lets us create torches out of firewood and linen wrap (from clothes); we could "refuel" the burnt torch with linen wrap (wonder oil) having, so, a brand new torch again also, will this mod overwrite requiem so its everlasting torch becomes one that ends? (not sure if requiem made torch endless tho) EDIT: it seems to have worked, torches arent infinite anymore! thx! xD
I have never, EVER had a torch run out. until recently I didn't even know that they COULD run out. Is there a mod out there that gives torches persistent "life" so that they don't get "refreshed" every time you put them in your inventory?
today I made the white phial quest. I'm using requiem, so it took about 1 hour (i sneak a lot and go veeeery slow) I really needed a torch because my lighting mod makes everything really dark. I had the torch working for the whole hour! and it never runed out. That's why this mod call my attention, but i can't download it atm.
Your question is interesting because i now think whats the point of letting the immortal torch die, if it will work again after saved in the inventory...
Seems I've browsed through all existent torch mods but no luck... I just want a torch with a 'life bar' similar to enchanted weapons, that won't be refreshed every time I put the torch aside.
atm I end up using the 'Wearable lanterns' mod, but I'm not 100% happy. Unfortunately it takes too much time to take the lantern into the left hand b/c it's being refilled with fuel every time you do it... the good thing is attaching the lantern to the belt works w/o this annoyance (you just turn on/off the light with a hotkey), so I use it this way. But it feels kinda cheaty - you've got the light and a free hand
would it be possible to make a torch mod that can set the brightness and radius (and possibly colour?) of the torches in the MCM menu? wearable lanterns has that function but I'd love to see it for torches too.
playing with RCRN Pure, ELFX and a tweaked ENB means that even these torches aren't really bright enough
