    FAQ:

    1.

Q: I have searched everywhere! Where do I find the Cannabis Skyrim Options?

A: It's in the misc. section of your inventory, the item resembles some strange leaf and can't be dropped...

    2.

Q: What's the file CannabisUpdate.esp for and what happens if I delete it?

A: The file provides variables to store your settings and statistics in when you initiate an update using the uninstall button in the Maintenance submenu of your Cannabis Skyrim Options. If the file has been deleted, you will lose your mod progress when uninstalling or updating but Cannabis Skyrim will run fine without it because there are no dependencies. Just extract the file to your ...SkyrimData directory again if you'd like your stuff backed up.

    3.

Q: So the CannabisUpdate.esp is another plugin for which I have to mind the load order and which could cause additional problems?

A: Absolutely not. The file only contains variables, no quests, no scripts, nothing else. There's not even the Cannabis.esp set as master in the esp file header, what yet makes the load order irrelevant. If you don't care about your mod progress you can even delete it and it won't make any difference, except losing your hard earned stats.

    4.

Q: Guys, you're lying! There are no animations!

A: Make sure you've properly installed the behavior part of Fores New Idles in Skyrim - FNIS. Always update FNIS and then regenerate your behaviour files with every new game or mod update! Try some other modder's animations and if they won't work as well we suggest to visit Fore's modpage for troubleshooting. Also make sure the animations aren't deactivated in your Cannabis Skyrim Options!

    5.

Q: I don't want to use FNIS... Do I really need to watch half-t-poses?

A: No, you can deactivate the animations in your Cannabis Sykrim Options. It's found under 'Gameplay / Animations'

    6.

Q: Those NPCs are annoying me... How do I tell them to STFU?

A: You can deativate the selling system completely in your Cannabis Sykrim Options, it's found under 'Gameplay / Selling Dialog Options'.

    7.

Q: Why is no one greeting me? I smoke on and on...

A: Under 'Gameplay / Selling Dialog Options' in your Cannabis Sykrim Options you can set how frequent NPCs will greet you. I have set it to the lowest level by default which means 1% "attracting rate", medium would be 15% and max 25% also make sure you didn't deactivate the selling system! It could be, that you need to wait one ingame day until those NPCs will ask again.

    8.

Q: I have sold stuff to a NPC, now I can't sell to that NPC again!

A: You can only sell to a certain NPC once a day, also if the NPC has refused to buy.

    9.

Q: Hey, what's this Weed Satchel about and how to use it?

A: The Weed Satchel can be found in the apparel section of the inventory after you bought one from Lynjah or crafted it by yourself. It is used to store your weed and to wrap blunts or to fill bongs and pipes. You don't need to activate e.g. a Dragon Bong directly anymore to fill it, just use the weed satchel for all your smoking needs. If you'd like, directly from your favorites menu.

    10.

Q: Alright, I have the satchel, but there are no other options than Open/Equip Satchel and Nothing?

A: Conditions will check if you meet the requirements to perform the desired action e.g. like filling a bong. If you don't have either the corresponding bong, water or weed, you won't see the option.

    11.

Q: Dudes, where's the Your Highness shop, I can't find it!

A: The shop is near the Whiterun stables; just head to the Western Watchtower, you can't miss it. There's a screenshot of the Whiterun area:

    12.

Q: Will the plants/shop items respawn?

A: As I've ticked the respawn checkbox, they should.

    13.

Q: What are the effects of the strains?

A: Currently the effects are as follows:

Every strain has the Well Rested effect.

    • Azura: Cure Poison, Resist Damage, Fortify Stamina, Articulation, Fortify Enchanting, Fortify Alchemy, Fortify Carryweight, Damage Magicka
    • Daedric Poison: Cure Poison, Resist Damage, Fortify Stamina, Articulation, Fortify Lockpicking, Fortify Smithing, Damage Magicka
    • Jarl Herer: Cure Disease, Resist Magic, Fortify Magicka, Aura Whisper, Fortify Conjuration, Fortify Destruction, Fortify Shouts, Damage Stamina
    • Nord Lightning: Cure Disease, Resist Magic, Fortify Magicka, Aura Whisper, Fortify Conjuration, Fortify Destruction, Damage Stamina

Q: How can I plant my own plants with the Planter or the Pile Of Soil?

A: You can find the Planter or the Pile Of Soil in the Misc section after buying from Lynjah. Drop it and it will be placed then activate the planter or soilpile and choose "Plant a seed" and select the strain you would like to plant. Activate the planter again and water the plant or just wait until it rains. That's pretty much it.

    15.

Q: How can I plant my own plants using the Seeds?

A: Sneak, then open your inventory and head to the Food section, there you find the seeds. Drop them one by one and they will be placed, after watering the plants will grow like they use to with the planter or the soil.

    16.

Q: How can I harvest my plants grown with Seeds, the Planter or with the Pile of Soil?

A: Unlike harvesting the pickable plants found in the Your Highness garden, you need to activate your Planter or your Pile of Soil and choose "Harvest plant". Answer "Do you really want to harvest your plant" with "Yes". When grown from seeds, you need to aim at the plant's root.

    17.

    Q: How can I wrap a blunt?

A: Visit the Your Highness shop and buy a Weed Satchel from Lynjah (or craft one) and some fermented Elves Ear or use the Laboratory to ferment Elves Ear. Get the amount of weed needed according to your skill level and activate the Weed Satchel in the apparel section of the inventory. Follow the menu for wrapping a blunt. You will find the -more or less craftsmanshipped- blunt in the Potions section of the inventory after successful wrapping.

    18.

    Q: How can I roll a Joint?

A: Visit the Your Highness shop and buy a Weed Satchel from Lynjah (or craft one) and buy or craft a paper roll. Get the amount of weed needed according to your skill level and activate the Weed Satchel in the apparel section of the inventory. Follow the menu for rolling a joint. You will find the -more or less craftsmanshipped- Joint in the Potions section of the inventory after successful rolling.

    19.

    Q: How to fill a bong/pipe?

A: You need weed and some water for the bong. Activate the weed satchel in the apparel section of the inventory and follow the menu. You will find the filled pipe/bong in the Potions section of the inventory.

    20.

Q: What are those hemp fibers for?

A: Cannabis is such a useful plant already used thousands of years ago for making durable clothing, strong and reliable ropes, oil, paper and so many other things. This beautiful plant isn't (and shouldn't be) limited to its use as a drug. You can craft rugs, clothes (wip), hemp yarn, paper rolls...

    21.

Q: Damn, I drank all of that dainty irrigating water! How can I refill my empty waterbottles?

A: You can refill them at many water sources: Just walk into the water and sneak, then activate the empty waterbottle in the misc section of the inventory. Don't mind the stupid text telling you that you can't equip the item. If this won't work we suggest to search for another place or move around a bit.

    22.

Q: Is there a way to watch the plants grow?

A: Of course, you can tweak the game's timescale by opening the console with the tilde key [^] and typing in the following command without quotes: "set timescale to 10000" and press [Enter]. Leave the console using the tilde key and watch them grow. To have the game's standard timescale (30) back, open the console and type in "set timescale to 30", press [Enter] and leave the console again. Be aware that your bored followers may leave you.

    23.

Q: Some objects aren't appearing (or) fellas, why the heck is some content missing? Eh, I use the Nexus Mod Manager...

A: tgirlshanya said: I had the same issue at first, It's from installing the update without the main file. Do a clean save, then install the main file, then install the update file. When prompted by NMM if you want to update the existing mod select no, this will install the update normally without deleting the previous version of CS, then overwrite the updated files when prompted to apply the update changes while keeping the mian files in tact. The mod should work fine after that

    24.

Q: What the heck is a "clean save"?

A: A cean save is a savegame without any remnants of our mod. Skyrim stores scripts and it's properties and values directly into your saves, which causes problems when such has changed. This is beyond our control and applies to any mod you're using. We'll tell you if we recommend to clean your save before updating. You can read our suggested install/update/uninstall steps on the description page.

    25.

Q: I don't like the blurry visual and want to get rid of it...

A: The Cannabis Skyrim Options supports toggling the visual effects on and off instantly in the 'Gameplay' menu.

    26.

Q: What ENB are you using, Nuttah?

A: I have uploaded my ENB settings based on Tapioks SKYRIM ENHANCED SHADERS FX - ENB to the modpage, you'll find it in the miscellaneous section there. I also use Project Reality - Climates Of Tamriel - Weather - Lighting by JJC71 and WATER - Water And Terrain Enhancement Redux by SparrowPrince, both are linked on this page.

    27.

Q: It seems like ... isn't working! (or) YOUR MOD HAS CAUSED A CTD!!!111!!11!! I hate you!

A: Mostly, ctds will occur if your machine can't handle the huge hi-res textures. Please download the low-res texture pack from the download's Optional Files section. Another problem could be that you didn't use a clean save as suggested. Please clean your save as described in the Update section a few lines above. Even if we're paying much attention on quality and stability, it is still possible that crashes or other problems may occur. If you want us to help you, send a detailed pm about your issue, sentences like "the joint didn't work" ain't helpful and we know you can do better. Just provide as much information as possible; We will try to reproduce and fix it: we care if you do.
