For those, who want to use this mod with COT, and can't make it work, you must do nex: In your Skyrim Data folder go to Textures/sky and there create new folder called "climatesoftamriel" (without quotes). Than manually download this mod and unrar both files in this mod to "climatesoftamriel" folder. Launch the game and have fun. It worked for me.
I've used this mod since the beginning on my vanilla skyrim playthrough days, and yet again now with skyrim special edition, this is still so much better!

this mod is incompatible with Dawnguard, it interferes with the auriel's bow and bloodcursed arrows obscuring the sun thingy. please make a patch, i really love this mod and had to uninstall it because as a vampire, i NEED to obscure the sun. Again, please fix this
IM WATING THIS TOO MY FRIEND YOU JUST CANT CHANGE THE SUN OF COT!GUYS PLEASE HELP ID LIKE TO PUT SOME SUNRAYS EFFECT BUT WITH COT IT JUST CANT BE DONE!!!!!!!!!
Works for me too. see my post and SA547 post. Also, be sure to install after COT of course. However, latest versions of ENB now have procedural sun. If the setting for procedural sun is on in ENB, it will not matter what sun mod you install, your sun will be based on your procedural sun settings in ENB. BTW many consider procedural sun to be superior anyway, so perhaps learning how to tweek your ENB settings would be the answer for you.
I was not correct about what I said earlier. I Just tried it out with procedural sun turned on in ENB. Works great, the god rays really blend with the procedural sun and procedural rays perfectly with just a little tweaking of the ENB settings. You all got to try it out. Really looks nice.
It is truly a wonderful mod that is underrated. Thank you. Unfortunately I'm using C.O.T. now and cannot use this without getting into TES5Edit to edit the dds files from there. Just don't feel like it. But I must say that this is Very Nice! Keep up the good work. Richard, Endorsed
OK, here is the best way to use this with COT: Unzip this mod. Go to your desktop make a folder called data. in that folder make a folder called textures. Then in that folder make a folder called Sky. Then in that folder make a folder called climatesoftamriel. Finely in the folder you just made Data/textures/Sky/climatesoftamriel, place the sun.dds and sunglare.dds files from this mod you just downloaded and unziped. Now take this folder structure and files you just made and Zip it. Call it sval ReAL Sun COT ver. or what ever.. Then install using MO or other installer as usual. I recommend MO gives you so so much more control over you mods.
Breathtaking, Finely a sun that behaves like a real sun. All the others I tries just looked like a bright circle with a annoying and unrealistic circles of light off. Played around for hours trying to get sun rays using ENB settings and could not get a satisfactory result with any other Sun textures. My eyes are not a camera lens... What's with all that lens crap. THIS SUN I LIKE. Oh, and I am using Climates of Tamer and Vividian ENB; no problem the sun look s great.

That is where you want to put your replacement sunglare file.

Data\textures\sky\climatesoftamriel
And replace both sun.dds and sunglare.dds. No need to hack CoT.
