IMHO this is more immersive than what Bugthesda has implemented. I'm not an expert real-life smith but why would you need a metallic ingot just to sharpen a dagger? I've sharpen kitchen knives by using a whetstone I'm sure anyone have done something like that and they didn't use any metallic ingot to do that. Sometimes I don't know if Bugthesda devs live in some other un-worldly dimension or something, they make simple game mechanics too complicated.
yeah... if you stop and think how you can re-sharp a blade, you will end up removing a bit of its material/body to get it's edges sharper. So where is the logic in needing more material if you are gonna subtract it?
Thank you as asked i wait for more weapons if you rescale difficulty according to player level and/or other conditions required to use a weapon for you and the npcs :)
