I like this mod, but the default damage is way too high (it should be proportional to the base damage) and it seems to be giving me CTD with ACE Archery based on the Papyrus log, it gets confused about what the weapon type is with a light bow.
Hi, I really love the mod but I have a problem, in my game I'm using your mod and whenever I get a headshot with a deadric arrow, it doesn't count. I've used Nordic, iron, steel, orcish, elven, and ebony, and they all work, but the deadric arrow cant get headshots. do you know what's wrong or what I did? thank you
Is there any chance you would be willing to make a similar mod, which detects impacts to passively held shields and ignores them? It never made sense that a character can get shot in the shield, but the game treats it like they just got hit in the chest.
Nope, SKSE DLL without source code available. So, you can praise Mara, and wait for her to motivate the modder, or use Locational Damage SKSE that is similar and highly configurable.
Posted this to Reddit awhile back. Requiem changes some nifs around in version 2, and has some new ones. Here's a list of stuff to put in the ini (also seems some from vanilla were missing in the supplied ini?):
If i understand ur head-shots deal flat damage in the amount indicated on mcm, for each, no helmet, light and heavy helmets. So, that's the only extra damage added by the mod? If it says 1000, means 1000 damage on hit? like flat?
If its all yes i would suggest (if possible) that the damages should be a formula based on players level and archery skill that increases the damage as the game goes forward. And it should always do damage extra on head even on heavy armor, cause its would still be a reward for a good shot. I set for my game 90, 60, 30. Using Skytweak, im dealing 80% damage With the first bow the difference of damage of regular hit for headshot is too much. Since not all targets i will be able to headshot, i would have to still have a way of killing without headshots. In order to all of this go smooth would be better that Head shots Simply deal 2x regular arrow damage on heavy, 3x on light, and 4x on no armor. That way all would stil count on the shoot for all the gameplay, like sneak atacks perks, no headshots, headshots, etc.. And that calculation should be diretcly connected to the damage output of ur arrow, this way mods like skytweak that alters overal damage, would take effect too. I dont know if its possible tough.
And the mcm menu could control that factor x2, x3, x4, x5, etc... for each category.
I think this would kinda defeat the purpose of the mod )one of those being that you dont have enemies running around with arrows sticking out of their head). An arrow to the head from a low level should be as lethal as that from a high level player.
Nothing in the game follows this. In game rules, the more stronger you are the more damage u do. Same should apply to the headshot. And the tougher the enemy, the less damage u do, same should apply to the the headshot. Still the headshot should be more powerfull that a regular shot, if u want it lethal ok, u wouldve only have to increase its damage. But using flat value, eventually it would not be as lethal since enemies grow stronger ans the game goes on (in general), and in the begning its too much, like u can go on a high level place and actualy defeat some one that u would not cause instead of 15 damage hits u dealing 90+15 damage hits. Seems ok agains a bandit in the first cave, but imagine ur lv 1 doing this against OP enemies that u should not defeat yep, kinda gamebreaker.

That is why we have this mod.
Enemy with arrow in the face should be dead, not a threat.
