In case it wasn't obvious by now, this mod is likely never going to get any updates from me. My disinterest in continuing it, as well as being unmotivated to work on it after a busy day, has seen fit to end any development indefinitely.
Anyone who wants to continue working on the mod, learn from it or make patches are free to do so. I'm also opening up upload permissions, so if you want to upload the mod to use on Xbox, go ahead. i have kind of a problem . im using a mod manager to install the mod and the game crashes on launch with this mod on and the manager gives me an error message : " plugin not found : tailarmors.esp " even tho i can see it in my plugins and even put it on the very top
Really enjoying this mod so far, much better to have something covering the dangly bit at back. just a couple of suggestions if you're still working on this, both of which comes from a similar, but older and not as well supported mod "I Have A Tail" ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/88571?tab=posts ):
-Unarmored options for mage users like a tail ring, a belt, something akin to the footwraps, etc.
-Full-length versions that cover the entire tail either as an option or their own standalone alongside the originals (maybe with higher armor and weight?)
-Maybe a leveled list to distribute them to the beast races of the world? Or at least something to put them into the inventory of the notable beastfolk (Kharjo, J'zargo, khajiit caravanners, Derkeethus, Shahvee, etc.)
I just found this mod and i'm happy. I'm using "i have a tail" but it doesn't really distribute tail armor's for the beastmen of skyrim. idk haven't really checked if there's an update or not and also the BAT patch. nice. I love you for this, no homo.
Just a note for users: Due to how the mod works, if you have a tail replacer, like "Slof's Fluffy Khajiit Tails" for example, this will overwrite those tails while wearing tail armor. Tails will look modded while unarmored, but once you equip tail armor, the tail looks vanilla. It stinks, but it looks like it wouldn't be easy to fix. Armor replaces the entire tail model with an armored one, rather than plopping the armor overtop the existing tail.
It's quite simple using TES5Edit. PM me if you still want the fix. Though I personally use Cloaks Dawnguard and Cloaks USLEEP Patch, so you'll need those too.
I have the Draconian race (Argonian-based custom race) mod installed, how do I make this mod work with it? I have Tes5Edit, but I'm not sure how to do it.
Superb mod by the way, I've always been bothered by how the tails of beast races have no protection.
