Hey all, hope everyone is enjoying this!

Just a quick note, if you're using this mod alongside my other mod, No More Dragon LODs script, don't load this mod into TES5Edit when running that script. I don't know exactly why right now, but the script seems to think that this mod's ESP is where it should dump its changes.

I have literally no idea why this is the case, but if I find out, I'll let you all know.

EDIT: Found the problem and I have a solution. All you have to do is change where it says "PatchFileByAuthor('MatthiosArcanus')" in the dragon LODs script to something like "PatchFileByAuthor('MatthiosA')."

    V3 is now a thing!
Small bugfix to the Quicksilver slider so you can actually adjust it properly like all other ores.
Feature added so that you can customize how much clay and stone you can mine (thanks Oktanas for pointing this out!)

You will need to do a clean save procedure for this update!
I had to increase the array that holds all the slider info, and it needs that procedure to re-fire correctly!
It's that, or a new save, unfortunately.

Keep telling me about your experiences, it helps a lot. =-)

    Hey everyone!

Just a quick little note here that I overlooked when I worked on this.

It seems that I never addressed compatibility with CCOR. Fortunately, it's rather straightforward.
To make this mod work with CCOR, all you have to do is have it come after CCOR.
For Mod Organizer users, that means it needs to be higher in priority than CCOR in the left pane, overwriting the scripts that come with CCOR.
For Nexus Mod Manager, install it after CCOR, overwriting when asked.

That's all you need to do, and everything should work just fine.

    Hope this helps. =-)

You wrote this in the description: "As an aside, the original mod mentions soul gems. To be honest, I don't know a great deal about Skyrim, so I couldn't figure out exactly what that meant. The code that I could find was commented out too, so it may be a non-functional aspect. If this is incorrect however, please let me know!"

Now, I looked through the comments here and the pictures you provide don't show soul gems, therefore it seems as though no one has answered your aside. Blackreach! Blackreach is a huge cavern under the north central region of Skyrim, and is only accessible through dwarven ruins. It is also the only place where one can find a unique kind of ore vein, where one can extract soul gems. The ore veins are called geode, I believe. It's been a long while since I've been down there, ;)

Just thought you should know, incase you wanted to add them to your mod. :)

      Hey there!

      Thanks for the insight!
Last time I played Skyrim some months ago, I remember I finally came across the geodes. And now, thanks to you, I remember trying to mine them with this mod installed caused a crash.
      Goodness the things one forgets...

Definitely appreciate you bringing this up, I'll need to look into this when I'm able to.

      Thanks, and take care!

Is it possible to get a version that just customizes the amounts mined per hour? I use the old version of this mod along with True Medieval Economy and I just want to increase the amount of clay and stone but keep the amount earned. I'm afraid that this version of the mod might accidentally overwrite the prices earned via TME.

      Hey there. =-)

As far as I can remember, the changes to the prices are contained within the ESP.
All you should need to do is ensure TME loads after this mod.
RP Chopping's MCM will still show the amounts set, but those will not affect what TME has set.

I don't remember if TME has scripts, but if it does, things may get complicated. If it overwrites the scripts from this mod, mostly likely RP Chopping will be rendered non-functional if it has a lower priority.

Definitely check what, if anything, is overwritten if you can, if so I may be able to figure something out. =-)

I did some tests and it looks like as long as I don't touch the default prices in your mod, tme correctly overwrites them. If I do adjust the prices, even if tme is lower the the load order, your mod wins out. But as long as I leave the prices default, it's all good. Thanks for the great update to a great immersion mod!

For whatever reason, installing this mod doesn't seem to actually install it at all. I cannot get the MCM to appear at all and it seemingly has no effect on the game. It also doesn't appear in any load order lists across vortex, skyrim's launcher, or NMM. I don't know if it's just like every other mining mod out there for skyrim or if something else is going on.

Hey, just wanted to say that I loved the original mod a lot, and being able to customize it without recompiling scripts is such a nice feature. However, I can't seem to mine heartstones from heartstone deposits and gems from gem geodes in Solstheim. Haven't tried Stalhrim or the Geode Veins in Blackreach yet, but I'd assume you didn't touch those. Not really that familiar with Papyrus, so maybe you could patch it in in a later update?

Edit: Nevermind, looked around a bit and I found the problem. I'm getting 10 gems/heartstones per hour though, which is a bit too much for my tastes. Anyway to edit that?

      Hey. =-)

From what I remember, this mod only supports ores, firewood, and stone.
At the time, I was unaware of the resources in Blackreach and Solstheim.

I did test the nodes in Blackreach once and it crashes the game. I don't know if it's repeatable, but something to keep in mind.

I would need to edit the scripts to allow this mod to affect those.
I'm not entirely sure I'm all that willing to dive into Papyrus at this time though.

I'll keep it in mind regardless, coming back to this mod and editing it.
I know there have been a fair few comments over this mod's lifetime concerning these resources.

      Thanks for the feedback!

Hey, i hope you can help me. The mod is somewhat working. The MCM menu doesn't appear. i tried the console command too, but with no luck. I can use the mod, in default settings (like the original mod). I have Legendary Edition. Also tried managing the load orders, making it last, or first, still no change. I have the latest uptdates for SKUI and Script Extender, i used Nexud Mod manager to install and download it. Also used Loot. I havent any other mod that changes mining. The only thing i can think of is the perk mod, called: Ordinator: Perks of Skyrim. Well thats all for now. I hope someone can help.

      Hey there!

Got a comment on the SE page of this and it looks like I incorrectly implemented the menu, so I'll need to change some stuff around in the scripts to get the menu working properly.

      Sorry about that!

      Hey there!

Not an annoying question at all, and one I can understand completely.
The short answer is I have no intention of doing that.

The long answer, in case you would like some information regarding this decision.
Currently, I have very little interest in SSE, much less making mods for it.
I certainly won't say it's completely out of the realm of possibility, but if it does happen, it won't be for a good while.

In theory, this mod would be straight-forward enough to port, and the permissions from the original and my alteration of the original allow additional modifications without restriction.
So if you, or anyone else, would like to have a go at porting, I have no issues with that whatsoever.
All I ask is that you, or anyone else that does that, gives credit to Issarlk and myself.

Hope this helps, and take care!

EDIT: Ok, I changed my mind on some things. It's been over a year since I last gave SSE a proper go, and I decided I should at least see if the whole experience of modding and playing it has improved any since then. I'm still in the modding stage of the thing, but if it turns out to be playable, I may be coming back to not just this mod, but the others I've made, and get them working for SSE. I won't make promises, but it at least seems like a very slight possibility.

      Hey there again,

I said "screw it" and ported this over.
You can find that here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17617

THIS is what I was looking for since the game came out! Finally just being able to quick gather materials instead of the vanilla ages of getting bored while waiting for your materials to come in! Thanks!

Used to use the old version, and gave this one a try. I don't think it is working with the wait function - I start mining, waited for 6 hours, and got nothing. I tried again, this time got a notification that an iron ore had been added, did the wait for 8 hours, and got nothing more. 14 hours mining and I got 1 ore, which is much, much lower than I had set.

Hey, so sorry for the late response!

Definitely check for any mods that may be overwriting this one, especially Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade (if I remember the name correctly.)
All I can say for sure is that in my own playtesting, it functions as intended when taking overwrites from other mods into account, and ensuring this mod takes priority over those.

Other than that, I can't say I have any other ideas.

      Hope this helps!

Do i need original mod to be installed as well or instead this is a completely standalone mod?
I found that the original mod has MineOreFurnitureScript.pex which this mod doesn't

      Hey there. =-)

This is completely standalone, and from personally playtesting it in a few runs, it works as intended.
It's been too long since I made this to provide an accurate answer on why that script is not present in this mod.

The most important thing to know is that this needs to overwrite any other mod that modifies the same script, most notably Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade (if I remember the name correctly.)

      Hope this helps!

Doesn't CCOR have these features? Is this different? I'm confused...

      Hey!

Mm, both mods do tackle the mining/chopping aspect, however in fundamentally different ways.
CCOR expands vanilla functionality by allowing you to increase or decrease how much you get from ore veins and firewood chopping stations, however where it primarily differs is that it leaves the depletion of the vein/station as-is. In other words, no matter how high you put the values, the vein will eventually be depleted, and you'll have to wait for a cell reset for those to be minable/choppable again.
This mod, and the mod that it derives from, allow virtually the same thing, but it will never deplete the vein/station. Also, I would say that they add a hint of, dare I say, immersion to the whole ordeal by requiring time to pass before you get a resource.

      Hope this helps!
