I haven't played Skyrim LE nor SE in a long time. IIRC, Wrye Bash now has an option to turn OGA off with the Bashed Patch. You can use this mod if you want, but at this point, wrye bash makes this mod unnecessary.
You are the best! after doing a search for hours in tes5edit and seeing that the old feminine females mod has several errors, I was trying to assimilate that I should make them compatible, but thanks to you, you have saved me from spending a lot of time typing, thanks!
1) Unbox "Opposite Gender Anims" or load this mod 2) Download a SaveTool https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363 3) Open your save 4) Bottom Forms in Formid type first refID of Lydia (A2C94) then press delete 5) Then in Formid type baseID of Lydia (A2C8E) then press delete and File Save
6) Run Game, open console and type prid A2C94 moveto player enable
Old thread but thank you, Lydia was the only one to never change her idle stance. She came back wearing old steel armor but the outfit mod was still intact to tell her to change it.
Hello please reply.can this mod change the male animation to female animation(for female housecarls) on an existing save?If not can you make a mod for that?
This is probably a silly question. The description says to install it on a new character but I was wondering if this has any negative effects if I install it during my current playthrough. I'm guessing that it's just a simple case that I won't see the animation change but I just wanted to be sure.
The reason I ask is because I don't really want to start a new game at the moment as I'm enjoying this current character I'm playing with. I'd like to install it now because I'll probably forget about it when I start a new one.
I'm just a user of the mod, but very familiar with what it does. It should be fine and not hurt anything to install on an existing game. Just make sure that any NPC replacer mods you have go after this mod in the load order. Hopefully the replacer mod will also turn the OGA flag off!
The reason it works better on a new playthough is that for whatever reason, the OGA setting in the NPC record gets saved in the save file once you meet each NPC. So any female NPC using the OGA already will continue to use them.
I also wanted to get this problem fixed before my next big playthough, which I STILL haven't got to, even though I applied this fix and have been using it with my Level 100 player for the last 6 weeks while testing other mods. I have seen no negative effects. Hope that helps!
Many thanks chickmetalhead (love the username BTW)
A very helpful response. I thought that would probably be the case but I thought I would check just to confirm my thoughts. I'm currently using the Bijin mod by rxkx22 so I'll have to test it with that and see how it works out. I really should just take some time this weekend, back up my current saves and start fresh just to test this out. If I don't get around to it though, it's nice to have confirmation.
Thanks again!
And to IlluminatedHeavenlyCloud, I'll be sure to stop by and drop and endorsement once I've tested it.
When/if you get around to doing "No Opposite Gender Animations For Males"... lol... IMO there are two NPCs that really *deserve* to have the female anims. Nazeem, and maybe Lurbuk (the Orc "bard" ). All in-favor say 'aye'?
"Future Plans : Make a "No Opposite Gender Anims for males" (Some male characters in Dragonborn DLC has the tag! I don't want to see any man swaying their hips. I am a heterosexual male! )"
I might be a little too open-minded to understand, but what is the link between [not wanting to see a man swaying his hips] and [being heterosexual] ?
I might also feel slightly offended, but that's probably just me being awfully picky.
From what I understood, you like women, and making a mod removing the opposite-gender-animation flag on them made some sense to me.
Furthemore, I think a male-animations only for male NPCs would be a great idea and that many people would want it for many different reasons. I also have no problem with the fact that you may feel uncomfortable with males having female animations, you have the right to and nobody should ever judge a person on their preferences, I also prefer it this way because it may conflict with female-walk-animations that I installed.
The only thing I found odd was that you linked [being heterosexual] with [not wanting opposite gender animations for males] and I wanted to point out that these are two separate and non-related things : You are a heterosexual male, and you appear to dislike males swaying their hips. Some people (no matter their orientation) simply don't care. The End.
Edit : Also I can understand that you may have felt offended by my first comment. Please accept my excuses.
Yes, there are mods with the same purposes. They all make females to walk around like hunks do, as if they had large biceps. I am waiting for a compromiss mod for females to perform neither swaying hips, nor muscled hands animation.
You just need to stick to vanilla animations and use my mod when you start a new game. My mod doesn't add any new animations, it just allows females to use female animations instead of male animations. Hope that helps

UPDATE: Never mind. I got it sorted through TES5Edit.
