Find Data/Meshes/Landscape/grass/marshgrassobj01 thick.nif and 4 other similar named files with a suffix of Long, ExtraLong, HeroicLong, Madness respectively.

These are various alternative grass models that can be used to replace the TSE default marshgrassobj01.nif.

So to change your grass just rename the existing one to something else [ie add a suffix "old"] and now rename your new grass choice to marshgrassobj01.nif and its done !

These 5 "thick" grasses all use the original TS mesh, its twice the polycount of the new TSE marshgrass, hence its performance impact if your hardware was not strong.
There is no difference in performance impact between the 5 choices, they all have the same mesh, the same polycount, the difference is accomplished entirely by changing the UV mapping in the grass model.

Be warned the names have meaning, with heroic or madness you may find it hard to see monsters, but they will still see you perfectly fine, hence the names, then again if you want it to act as a difficulty adjustment thats cool too.

Be aware the impact of using longer grass can be more pronounced in places outside of the immediate swamp area, as there is a grass "height variability" setting in play also. But you can always swap them around as often as you like, even mid game.

The Cattail grass found in the swamp ponds or to some its known as Bull Rush or reed is now much taller [another UV tweak so it costs nothing], but I have lowered its density setting [better performance], and added greater height variability.
