For a non-requiem load order, what would be a good Base Capacity and Percentages? Also, what did you use to determine the capacity based numbers for each armor piece.
Very late reply but it depends a lot on your playstyle, your mods and how hard you want the game to be. For the most part, 40-50 is fine if you don't want to turn Skyrim into an ultra difficult cool kids only game.
I personally use the default settings but that's mostly my personal taste. I want to make gold harder to get, I also use mods that add bandolier, belts, pouches and backpacks.
This appears to disable the disable console command. Which also affects Jaxonz Positioner. Anyone else found this? Shame as I like the idea of limited carry capacity.
There's now way something like this happen. At least as far as i can relate the logics behind it. Just in case, did you forget to click on the object until the fomID appeared before attempting to disable it? Because sometimes clicking somewhere in the cc menu will "de-click" the object, so try to check if the formID already appeared before trying to disable.
Endorsing because it's a great great idea... but it's not working properly right now. While it calculates the weight of my weapons flawlessly, it gives me all kind of different numbers when changing armors, messing pretty bad with overall carrying capacity. I know that the numbers are expected to change based on current armor weight, but even disabling that option in the MCM and disabling/enabling the mod after it doesn't affect the previous changes. The option to disable the "bonus" carry weight provided by gauntlets, cuirasses or boots is not working either. Tried to enable and disable the mod many times, but, again, messed calculations all the times.
I don't have any mod making dynamic changes to the carry weight system nor any mod touching this aspect.
I love the basic idea of the mod and played with it for a while now, and used mods like bandolier and the backpacks from wet&cold and Frostfall in addition to it which works like a charm.
I'd like to know however if there is a way to make slected items keep some or even all of their weight. Reason is that i started to play around with Storage helpers ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/17574/ ) to handle backpacks as equipable containers. So when i put items into the 'container' they are goen from my inventory, and their weight is added to the backpack item, Which would be, at least in my humble opinion, a great addition to your mod if it wasnt for the fact that realistic capacity makes the backpack item virtually weightless
Gave this mod a try because it sounded LOVELY only to find out the sad news that it doesn't seem to be working with Skyrim Souls (unpaused menus) Something about the equipment updating carry weight is just going wild with the unpaused menus, a shame because i love the goals of this mod.
I am using skysouls aswell to no detriment. Make sure skyrimsouls is up to date, my realistic capacity is lower in my loadorder then skyrimsouls aswell. Cannot think of anything else sorry.
Hi, Great mod ! Just a question concerning Requiem and the principal of adding more carry weight the more you stack health? How does your mod evolves around that ? Does it simply ignore the system and base carry weight is aligned on Requiem and growing or does it render this behavior useless; like if "it disables it" ? Thx for taking the time to enlighten me.
since you would load Requiem last per its description, Requiems changes would take place and this mod would lose all conflicts.
If you use Requiem 1.9, however, there's an option in the MCM where you can adjust the carryweight gained with stamina increase. Just lower it all the way to 0.
Wanted to express my gratefulness. This is just EXACTLY what I was looking for and I mean EXACTLY. Also tried bunch of different capacity mods (including SkyRealism) but they all suck in comparison to this. It's perfect for what I need. Those small little tweaks like this are what drastically changes your experience in the game. Thank you so much for this.
Also would like to request a list of backpack mods from you in the description which will include mods that you feel suit for this mod the best.
Hi I love your mod but I need some assistance please. The mod is somehow being disabled when I load my characters, their capacity is reset to vanilla but in MCM your mod is enabled. I can fix this by disabling the mod then activating but It seems to happen without fail on a load. Without going into detail, may I know how the mod is activated at loadtime? Im trying to troubleshoot and pinpoint the problem
It's likely some other mod setting your capacity when you start the game. You can update your capacity quickly by simply un-equipping and equipping a piece of armor after you load the game.
Are you using Skytweak? That would be one of those mods that would interfere with this, as it loads its own setting for your carry weight on every load from its own memory.
