Unfortunately it doesn't work, all I see is a blank page in the MCM menu, even when I started a new game nothing showed up. One question, does this only work with vanilla items?

Ok, I understand that this pretty much essential mod is no longer suported but hopefully someone who has it working will be able to reply.
How do you get items from your inventory to show up in the MCM? All I see there is a button to reset all my invenotry but no inventory items so that I can actually rename them.

It's the same for me. The menu is completely empty, and it seems more people had this problem. I'm gonna try Jaxon's mod instead.

It doesn't rename already renamed enchanted items....i thought it actually was it's purpose.

Any idea what might conflict with this? Opening the MCM entry doesn't show my inventory items. I've only got a couple things in there, and they happen to be mod outfit items. All it shows is the reset button.

Gonna try this and hope it works for mod added items

I'm not criticizing your mod, or anything; quite the contrary, in fact--I think it's a great idea, but I'm just curious, can't you more or less do the same thing with TES5Edit? I've never actually attempted it with items, though I have renamed several NPCs, and it worked just fine.

The biggest difference is that the changes are stored in the SAVE file, so when you have multiple play-throughs, you don't get changes carried from one to the other.

Making changes to .esp files via TESVEdit is a "hard" change that will be apparent in all play-throughs.

So that "Pixie Dust" that was in your Fairy play-through will still be Skooma in your Thieves Guild play-through.

Question: Do enchants remain after renaming a player enchanted item?

Downloading instantly.. in the hopes that I will *finally* be able to rename potions.. I tried doing that with Jaxonz, but, as you discuss, it was a clunky process, so I eventually just gave up.

    EDIT

......and it WORKS !!! Eureka! You have absolutely no idea how long I have waited for something like this, and given the nature of your mods, I hoped against hope that you might decide to eventually tackle this problem. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
(will endorse as soon as Nexus permits)

    EDIT 2

Hmmm... For some reason, certain potions/poisons can't be renamed, apparently ? Still, that I can rename at least some of them is hugely helpful.
