1.1 is on the way: -More Spell packages supported. -Ideally cover the spell Descriptions (this might be 1.2). -Hopefully add a Racial Spell component. -Minor Bug Fixes as needed
I'm using the basic version and it works just fine. A huge improvement over vanilla. It's always been weird to roleplay, say, an aspiring necromancer who doesn't even start with a single novice-level Conjuration spell. Thank you so much.
I love this mod so much. Never made much sense to me that everybody should know the same basic spells, especially when roleplaying. That said, I seem to have a small problem. I'm using the basic version, and it forces me to choose one spell per school, with the "none" option not working. Might there be something I could have done wrong during installation?
When I get 1.1 up I plan on having a Apocalypse only version for sure. Might be willing to do special requests based on how much free time I have. Hoping to get 1.1 up this week.
I mean you could still use the basic version to replace starting spell choice, but I understand wanting a version that covers your exact mods.
I am considering upgrading this mod to 1.1 in the near future. The changes I am planning are described under the Possible Future Plans heading. Let me know if the changes I laid out are something you would like, OR do you prefer it the way it is currently? Feedback and questions are welcome.
Hi, I think your idea is great! In particular because you can choose spells from mods as well, and not only vanilla ones. I use another mod that lets you choose some starting (only vanilla) spells: Disparity. So I thought you might want to check it out since you asked.
Oh right, I ment to add a section for incompatible mods. Disparity and my mod will fight. And I think Skyrim Unbound also has its own spell choice set up. I will have to add that to the description. Do you know of any other mods that have this feature built in?
Now this would need testing, but it might be possible to use Disparity, do the whole Character Creation through that mod, then use the Spell Choice power from my mod to re-choose Spells including the ones from Apocalypse and Lost Grimoire. And as long as the Spells you took from Disparity are all vanilla Novice Level Spells, the Spell Choice mod should remove them before letting you choose new spells. Again, this would require testing to verify.
I don't know of any other mods that might conflict, sorry. But if I find something I'll let you know. I'm always trying new mods.
And I think I'm gonna try the procedure you just mentioned with a new character. Because looking for spell books can be tedious. Now I get to choose the spells I want.

I use apocalypse and EDM, I wish there was a version of the mod that was for those two only and didn't require lost grimoire.

Hope you all like it.
As always feel free to ask questions here in the comments.
For anyone watching the video Spell Choice is around the 4:25 mark.
