OK, sorry to those 5 people who downloaded meshes optimised for SSE - I probably crashed your game but hopefully you don't hate me too much. There is now a new version of the low-poly option (v1.1) that should fix the crashes people have been getting. I just had to fix the names of some of the mesh elements.
Here you go. Let me know of any problems or requests. After more than a year of work it's great to have this out. I just hope I put everything in the right folder this time!
Special edition version now available! http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/9799/? Thanks to everyone adding beautiful pictures to the gallery! They look great.

For those tracking this mod: I have learned to use the Cycles renderer in Blender and I am in the process of rendering ALL wallbaskets into ultra-low-poly versions (500,000 triangles reduced to ~100). It takes time to do it properly, so bear with me, but it is on the way.
EDIT: So I'm actually playing Skyrim at the moment, and have stopped working on mods. If anyone wants me to finish this low-poly version, let me know and I'll make an effort...but it's a LOT of effort, so no promises.
EDIT EDIT: I haven't played skyrim in a long time, so no more edits unless my life changes again
These look great in Whiterun interiors and I have been using these wallbaskets for a while now but I finally decided to look at the contents of this mod a bit closer and it turns out several of the textures are non-power of two. Theres wood textures in 1800x1800, 1400x1400, 1200x1200 and some gems were 370x370. Non-power of two textures are a stability risk in Skyrim. Its quite telling that Nifskope has like a 50% chance to just outright crash when trying to open a mesh with one of these non-power of two textures. The fix is very simple; lower the resolutions of the wood textures to 1024x1024 and save, 256x256 for the gems. 2048x2048 wood textures can be left alone as they are already power of two.
I cannot begin to properly express my disdain for Skyrim's wallbaskets. I've hated those from the moment I first saw them. I am really looking forward to using these carvings in my game. Thanks for making this mod, it was a brilliant idea!
Absolutely breathtaking artwork. I never seen them being sold by merchants however and I do indeed have the esp activated. Is there a specific merchant or type of merchant who sells these?
They're only readily available from Belethor, as wallbaskets are not seen in the Vanilla game outside of Whiterun. Other merchants will have them, but rarely. Just make sure you've made a Bashed or Smashed patch to combine merchant inventories from multiple mods.
So this is kinda a late reply (5 months wow, sorry I almost never check my inbox) but the mod works fine for me and I'm loving it. The fact that you care enough to send a private message is amazing. Thanks
