Well, that was interesting. Had this mod for a little bit, and hadn't come across any from it so far. Then I come to the "A Blade in the Dark" quest and Sahloknir was some type of shadow-breathing dragon as best I could tell. The only issue I had there was that when he burned away, his skin was mixed with the skeleton poking through for a bit. Not sure if it was because I looked away or if it would have happened if I kept looking at the corpse for a little bit longer, but when I looked back, the skeleton was exposed except for the usual bits of desiccated flesh clinging to the bones.
So in short, good first impressions for the mod bringing in even more variety to the dragons.
Edit: Now having fought a zephyr dragon (which is a very nice looking feathered lightning dragon), I now have realized what was meant with the line in the FAQ about the animation not being added to some of the DDC3 dragons. I didn't realize that meant the animation of the body burning up, as I wasn't thinking of that as an animation, so that was my bad.
my skyrim is all manually modded because I started before skse before loaders and managers...so it's pretty hard to add or remove things but not this mod, I wish they all were made that well, the test feature is also a killer and it works perfectly with my very manually modified elemental dragons home version, tried for 2 hours met vanilla dragons, elemental dragons and diverse dragons without any bug
I only just realized: the dragon skeleton for Skyrim is a wyvern type, exclusively. Which is so wild, wyvern are traditionally the smallfry to the more common four legged Western Dragon. Or, they are in fiction with more than one type- hell in a fair few of them wyvern aren't "true" dragons at all.
Thanks, I think it might be the people of skyrim. I will say that my dragonborn has had quite the legend of being bombarded by 3-7 dragons of different types.
I would like the ability to set these to only appear at specific levels, like the vanilla dragons do. Its sorta weird to be able to encounter these dragons at all levels when vanilla dragons don't behave that way. I know splendor sorta fixes this, but then I'd have vanilla dragons come in all variety of shapes and colors while the dragons from this mod do not. Why should generic dragons be so diverse in appearance while all the dragons from this mod have one set appearance? Judging by some videos on youtube, dd2 had this feature, but I'm not so sure about using that.
Late reply, but I did test this with ultimate dragons some months ago. The two mods do technically work together, but Ultimate Dragons seems to assume that any dragon from another mod is a fire dragon, meaning that non-fire dragons from other mods will randomly breath fire in addition to their normal breath attack. If this doesn't bother you, you can technically use them together. If it does bother you, the only way I can see to fix this is to disable all the non-fire dragons from this mod through its MCM, though this would obviously create a imbalance in the ratio between fire and frost dragons in your game (not to mention mean you weren't be getting most of this mod's features). I would say Ultimate Dragons is only guaranteed to be compatible with mods that just alter the vanilla dragons. Mods that add new ones never are (unless they just place a vanilla dragon in a new location anyway, or they only add fire dragons). I suspect Splendor may be compatible, though I haven't tested that for myself. Zim's Dragon Improvements claims all three of its versions are compatible with Ultimate Dragons. These two may be able to give you better diversity despite this mod's incompatiblity with DD3. I have noticed though that the SE version of Ultimate Dragons claims to be compatible, but its seen a few updates since the LE version was last updated. I would guess that compatibility between these two is unique to the SE versions.
Hi! Using this mod for the first time. I have this mod and also deadly dragons. When a Dragon from this mod appears, I can't see him. All I can see is a warning sign flying and attacking me. I would love to see the Dragon itself. What can be happening?
